I bet it will still burn a shitload of oil...lol

If you ever bring it down here, you can run the H23A.

shes got 200 break in miles so far and not a drop leaked or burned. Only spun it up to about 7K but thats when it really starts to haul the mail.  Actually about 5500+  As soon as I get some decent weather I will wheel the chassis dyno at work outside and map it like it needs to be.

Jeff I need to make it down that way to talk about different injectors for e85 these saab ones seems to atomize as good as a garden hose

Pintle-style injectors suck for atomization. I've been testing various sets for a local company and they by far have the worst spray. It literally looks like a cheap garden hose set to narrow spray. I already have the perfect injector, multi-hole from Denso so they'll be able to use the original lower seals.

Enlighten me- what's the compression ration on this thing? It does seem like you'd need a more aggressive cam for 200 whp

So for an update. The motor that was in it lost a rod. Actually I believe it was a piston that let go first. It tagged the head but it was ok after a .010 skim. I just put another bottom end together in the last couple weeks and got it back in the car last night. I am hoping to make some fire tonight but we shall see what happens. I had it pretty much tuned. I ditched trying to chip tune and I am currently about to use a dynojet power commander and see if that will allow a much better degree of tuning.

I'd stick with chip tune over the commando, more options of adjustment.

What caused the piston/rod to let go exactly? rod stretch, piston to head clearance, or valve to piston clearance?  :noel:

I high rpmed it to the tune of 9xxx? something rpm. Thinking the wrist pin pulled out of the piston. either way I got it running today and yup put a big smile on my face to hear the thing come to life with a 1/4 point more compression. Going to get the tuning finalized and out of the way and see what happens on the dyno. either way I am hoping this motor hangs together a bit better.

AFAIK he finished it, he just didn't like the peaky-ness of it & sold it to a local.

He was going to buy my F2B swap for his CRX, then had his accident. I think he'd have done crazy things with the F22. :-\
