Hi, got a new Oem pistons, 81.5mm (+0.5mm), sent block to shop for overbore it, i see in the box show 0.30mm DECKED, what that means exactly? piston to wall clearance?
-
Generally that means that they cut that much off the top of the block to square it up and make it flat. https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&client=ms-android-verizon&source=android-browser&q=decking.a+blocm&norc=1&zx=1433981591892#q=decking+a+engine+block (https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&client=ms-android-verizon&source=android-browser&q=decking.a+blocm&norc=1&zx=1433981591892#q=decking+a+engine+block)

that means pistons are 0.30mm shorter? :?: i know what means deck a block, but what i dont understand is what exactly means "0.30mm DECKED" writed in the pistons box.

You'd have to talk to the machinist. Nothing should be in the 0.3mm range for those pistons - piston to wall, piston to deck, etc. 0.3mm is ~0.011", which can be needed on some warped blocks.
