Title: howto: video/pic/gif embed
Post by: MTZ on July 23, 2021, 07:20:28 AM
Best solution to keep pics on your threads for a long time is to upload them to the site, if you choose to use external links you can follow the instructions below but there is no guarantee on how long those links are going to work.
allowed tags [ yt ][/yt] [ vimeo ] [ /vimeo ] [ gifv ] [ /gifv ] [ img ] [ /img ] [ url ] [ /url ] still testing havent found good formats that turn to video
so i tried a feature to auto embed videos but our forums rules were not made with that in mind so all our signatures look out of whack full of videos, that being said i turned the auto convert feature off but we can still use the embedding for our own threads, so if i want to show you guys https://youtu.be/gEPWfkVZddI
i just add the link in between [ yt ] [ /yt ] (without the extra spaces) and it can be played in the forum! lmk if you need help!

ps i tried to post youtube pr0n but it needs the account logged in and doesnt work lol

the link has to actually lead to the source image, ie ....com/pics/honda.jpg some modern sites like fb handle pictures a bit different.
this link leads to a picture of an ad but cant be embedded the way its on the url, https://www.facebook.com/commerce/listing/626109811730966/?media_id=0&ref=share_attachment
if you right click that pic within fb and click open image in new tab this link comes up https://scontent-lga3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/p720x720/255340833_2966636043585908_4643570972949813339_n.jpg?_nc_cat=111&ccb=1-5&_nc_sid=843cd7&_nc_ohc=09njOu1JeAYAX_mOSI9&_nc_ht=scontent-lga3-2.xx&oh=2695a53739e6152dc5f658e06c08bfd0&oe=6197EA12 which can be embedded with http:// tags like so
