Overall the car is not in bad shape. It has been sitting for over a year so the inside needs some serious cleaning. But as I got closer I noticed something a little odd, can you spot it?

Apparently the guys brother who originally owned and abandon the car boosted it :) Works out great for me. Let take a look under the hood shall we? Did I mention this was FREE!!!

Is that a 16V head I see.  Also if you look closer you will see the 7 pin SI distributor plug for the electronic advance. Looks like someone did all of the hardwork for me. This just keeps getting better and better.

Looks like it is a Saab .42 .48 turbo. Also has this minty saab FMIC :D

Not sure what size injectors on on here. Will have to figure that one out later.

So then I decided to see what other shinny stuff was in the car. Low and behold when I open the glove box!!!

Blow of valve and a AEM Fuel Pressure regulator

Also not pictured was the OBD0 PR4 chipped ECU under the seat. Looks like I just need to get a new bottom end under this thing and I have a new FREE toy :)

Well, finally got some work done on this bad boy.  I got it into the garage a while ago and built this cart for it.  It is made out of 1 3/4' .125 wall square tube with casters on the bottom of each leg.  This allows me to get the hole car off the ground and be able to move it around the garage.

Then today, my wife to be (I can't believe I found someone who wants to work on cars with me :) ) started stripping the CRX.  She got all of the interior out, and stripped the floors.  She also got the rear strut tower patterns for boxing them in.

Del Sol will be faster in a straight line.  This is strictly going to be an AutoX car.  Have a Freshly built 12:1 D16Z6 in the shop I am going to put in it.

nice find.

Every garage needs a white board.  To often do I think of something after a few beers and can't remember it later.  Good way to remember that stuff

Got a little bit more work done today.  Finished boxing in the other strut tower.  Then called in the 1 3/4 .120 DOM :)  Still have a little welding to do on the bar to get it done then have to weld the boxes into the body.  For now it will be the most over engineered strut bar/harness mount ever until I finish the cage :p.

DSM 450s.  Some 600s would be sweet.  Also, how much for one of your slims?

+1 after reading about a 1g crx breaking 10sec. back in the mid-90's I always wanted on but could find a rust free one.

I had one when I was a kid..... its was the older one with sealed beam lights.... bought it for a hundred bucks and drove it EVERYWHERE... it was missing the plastic from the sides, the front bumper cover, the exhaust, and was soooooooooooooo rusty... It wasnt plated... but I was 15 so it was kinda a non issue.

Did a little bit more work this week.  Started welding the strut back to the body.  Also worked on cleaning out the mess on the floor from earlier stripping it.  After I got tired of getting all contorted in the back of the car trying to weld the strut brace in, I started working on the seat brackets.  I have a pair of corbeau forzas out of my old hatch.  So I took the old sliders off of the seats, cleaned them up and welded some 3/4 square stock across both sliders.  I then drilled holes in from the bottom to bolt the seats to them.  They sit at the perfect hight now and are fully adjustable.  Total cost, 6$.  Sticking to the current moto of keepen it cheap.  I think so far I am only into the entire car about $40 dollars.  Here's the pics!
