i have read all i could find on pie cuts and generally you use either the 22.5 degrees or 11.25 or w/e BUT idk how to cut the pipe at this angles.. yeah i know use a band saw or chop saw or something but i have never used 1 and would like to see how to cut 1 segment having both sides at the right angles ....

plz help!!!!

ok you need to decide how many cuts/peices you want per 90* bend.

for example say you want 6 peices in a 90* bend.

devide 90 by 6 you get 15* pre peice.

now cut the pipe at half the needed degree.

so your cutting the pipe at 7.5*.

now make sure you measure the long end of the pipe so the length would be the same per bend.

u mean the long part of each pie cut ?

i have the theory down i like to think, my problem is  that using a chop saw or band saw you get the angle you need but you still have the same thickness on both sides am i right ? so how do you make the angle but taking off the right amount from the top (thick part in the pie cut) and taking more from the bottom (making the skinny side) i nhave never done anything like this all my other projects i have eyeballed and w/e but i am trying to get this 1 to look nice so plz help me understand THX

Cut your fingers off with the chop saw so u cant type

i think i figured it out, all you have to do is get an angle then mark your long side of the pie cut the opposite direction of the cut you just made and flip the thing around and cut the same angle...

is that right???

if i remember right if you want o just eyeball it just buy some PVC and practice on cutting your pies until it fits your design, cheaper this way
