No plans to honda-ize anything. Although when i get out of school I'd like to pickup an EG. ghetto turbo and LSD. Never driven FWD on pavement.
Well, i did drive our old Firstgen rabbit with a passat engine (rallycross car) on ancient yoko slicks at an autocross. but that was an exercise in frustration and wheelspin.
The locost is something we picked up from a club member (TAC/TVR). he got punched by a 911 a couple years back at Barber and it took out front corner. Minimal damage to the chassis. Just need to get new A-arms and a new coilover. The old A-arms were so shitty they pretzeled the arm or broke the rod ends (fastener in bending
). After we get to play with it some I'll redesign the a-arms to not suck and run inboard shocks with pushrods. will also need to design some new uprights, the ones on there now are modified FB rx-7 struts and have a metric shitload of frontview KPI. does weird shit with camber gain in steer. It has a "factory rebuild" NA s4 13b run by a Dinosaur SDS EM-2d (fuel only old people standalone) and 13b (I hope) dizzy. It alledgedly has 180hp, probably 150 ( The RX-3 did that on Fuel only megasquirt with a similar fresh engine and a half crushed header)
