so buddy of mine for like 10 years, always NA/allmotor this and that. WEAK. but he likes them, and i guess having a slow car. i gave him a ride in the turbo GTI and i think scared him, and ii let him drive my turbo ITR a long while back, and i was pretty sure we where gonna boost his ITR, but he bailed. and ended up selling his shit. so now (like 5years later) he has a EM1 Civic...99-00 Civic Si. with stock B16A2 motor...to start with. he is under the assumption we are gonna blow it up, so we will push hard on it 


so the plan is for it to be like one of my cars, just a fun ass driver with little too much power. no drag racing, no auto cross, not even a real street racer. just to make some pulls, spin some tire, HAVE FUN... oh, probably roll on a V8 here and there lol.


he scored this turbo kit. called me to make sure it was legit and all, but got pretty jew deals on a hole grip of stuff. some more than he needed, but wanted anyway...



i showed up to find this. cool. i dont have to work much lol. exhaust was off also. he got some work done.



PTE 60trim T3/T4, some cast manifold with blue thermo coating shit on it.

he wanted to pull the motor to do all this shit...ehh... whatever. but we swapped in a ClutchMasters clutch/flywheel kit he got with the deal. AEBS/Professional Products intake manifold, TB, RC550 injectors, SARD fpr, AEM fuel rail, thermo spacers on everything....what else?



me telling him where to trim for turbo clearance.... he had to trim WAY less than i have been doing with some of my manifolds. kinda pissed, maybe i should stop buying off ebay LOL...


quick little hang of the intercooler. wanted to see what we where working with    bailing/mechanics wire, cuz 


so fuckin nice using a lift. omg.... full 3" exhaust.

guy he got the shut from had a blue Si just like his. he even said he was on a blue theme/kick and wanted shit to all be blue...  whatever. not my car. and shit was deals.

but my buddy did see that blue AEM fuel rail and his eyes lit up. he did want that for some reason.

so i went over tonight to drop of some shit, and see whats up...




he made some decent progress. we swapped oil pans, threw the downpipe on, oil return, wire harness. he already had most the intercooler/pipes shit on. along with the axles and all that.


thinking hopefully tomorrow get all the little things sorted out, fire this bitch off. maybe go out for some street tuning...


he is still missing a fuel pump and wideband, but i have both for my car im not using yet, think we are just gonna swap them in.

so went out and tuned this thing the other night.... gotta say at 7psi its ballz slow.  lol. super disappointing, for the owner and me really. got the map ironed out in low cam, started on high cam, ironed that out. started raising the rev limit. still slow. but got a nice map going, bumped it, bumped it, bumped it again. got little over 10psi logging. and it started to fuckin move. had to pull a little timing cuz i heard it pinging. seemed pretty solid. he was happy, i was happy.


he did call  me saying something about seeing lots of airflow out his catch can. told him to do a compression test. but didnt hear back yet.

Almost sounds like it, you can have a small leak and still build boost. Home made boost tester ftw!

so, yeah, think he likes it.    think that might have been also in response to a conversation we had about how fast it is, and comparing it to evo's and other shit...
