So car started rattling, and exhaust started getting louder.  Today driving I could feel the power fluctuating.

Put it up on ramps and the test pipe is snapped.  I assume the power fluctuations are from o2 sensor getting bad data.

So I picked up some exhaust repair and am about to put that shit on after the exhaust cools.

The exhaust shop welded the test pipe to the exhaust and bolted the other end to the header.  I'm guessing when I get it fixed I should have this piece of flex pipe installed?  Felt stiff as fuck so I didn't bother having it put on.

Metal duct tape. The shit used in air ducts. I've temporarily got my muffler attached via half a roll of that shit. Going good for a week now.

This problem has nothing to do with the curse. Just because your not strong enough to bend piping doesnt mean the torque from your engine isn't . Is the exhaust setup fairly old or new? If it is newish maybe check on those motor mounts

The part that broke was the ebay test pipe, not the exhaust.  It broke mostly at the welds.

I threw one of those $4 vato zone exhaust bandages on it.  It kinda helps, but not much.  Was only meant as a temp fix anyway.

I'll buy another test pipe and this time use the flex pipe...

Well, here's my issue with that:

Currently, due to the crack in the testpipe, I can tell the O2 sensor is getting false readings because it will intermittently feel like it's bogging.  Tonight I'm going to reflash the chip with the O2 disabled, but, that's that...

Anyway, the flex pipe is definitely not an airtight seal, so I'm worried about the same false readings.  The header doesn't have an O2 bung, so I think I will just mount it like: header > test pipe > flex pipe > exhaust.  I don't see how it would cause any problems?

On my Civc I have no flex pipe but I have a ball and cup seal from the header b-pipe to my converter so my exhaust moves a little with my engine.

My engine moves only about 5-10% compared with using stock mounts. All five of my mounts are filled. ;D

Which does transfer a bit of engine vibration through the whole car.

Well I have the Hasport mounts with the black inserts, not sure how stiff they are but definitely stiffer than stock.  The car vibrates when stopped.

The test pipe is currently bolted to the header with regular bolts.  Maybe I should use the spring ones that Honda uses?

I reflashed the chip with the O2 disabled and it still drives funky.  Drives funky with the O2 enabled, and today I got code 43 which is with the fuel system...I guess it dumped a bunch of fuel to richen the "lean" mix and didn't get to a good AFR so is reporting fuel system problems?

I'll just order a new test pipe and install that with the springy bolts...and flex pipe.
