originally a 79 with a turbo 4.8, i wrecked the car after it spit an axle and i spun it out
here is the 82 i built immidiately after the wreck, then i put a 5.3 and a larger turbo on, lots of changes in only a few months.
day i bought it, 68k original miles one owner

window sticker in there with all the original stuff

built a 8.8 rear someone had laying in their backyard


steering shaft bushing was gone! shot to shit, one at the auto parts store didnt fit so i welded mine

dropped in my 4.8 and th400 at the time

built motor mounts

fresh 8.8 with summit upper and lower control arms and stock springs, with a childrens football in the right rear spring

here it is after the first trip to the gas station

this was a 4.8 with a GT45 turbo, and th400, 2.73 rear gears and my converter had about 40% loss on high boost lol
car still went low 10s many times.


drag radial and street tires up front, drive to the track and run low 10s and drive home
i eventually installed an 80e and 5.3l and then swapped to a 80mm turbo...

then i went 3.55s and threw disc brakes on the back
