JD, If I make it another 20 years it will be considered a miracle.

I hope to quit/retire in two years and travel the country.

Heh.  The slide out compartment for the cooler is pretty slick.  I actually looked into those little trailers the last time I saw you post about them.

Haha.

The Civic Wagovan + Wagovan is where I got the original idea years ago. But it would be too heavy, cool though.

Ah yes, this.  I saw her original post on Reddit before it blew the fuck up.

Way overboard.

I got my ass beat A LOT growing up, which I am thankful for, but her father went a bit too far.  There's a difference between a punishment and abuse.

Yes, that line was crossed.

If she set the cam up there is very likely a history of abuse that led her to set up the camera.

I've been told that when I was little quite a few yardsticks were broken across my bottom. I don't remember it.

Only ONE swing ever missed and caught my legs, Dad stopped right there and said enough.

My ex-wife was beaten by her mom worse than the video above for a simple rumor on the street. I was so pissed I ended up driving 350 miles just to clear my head. Kinda far in a 1972 Buick that got 18 mpg that day, the first day I hypermiled.

I cannot forgive the mother-in-law, Pat, for what she did that day. Never will. Then again I was at her bedside when she passed away from cancer.

What did she do to break the law?  I missed that part when I heard about it on the radio this morning.

The real irony is he's technically at fault for piracy, since she was under age and because he paid for the IP addy.

IMO there is a big difference between discipline and abuse. Discipline teaches a lesson, abuse scars the kid for life. I was spanked bare-ass when I was maybe 4, that taught me a great *lesson*. If you're going to do something stupid, make sure there's no evidence or witnesses.

I don't think I ever got spanked.  Guess my parents raised me in such a way that I was smart enough not to do dumb shit.  If I were caught downloading pirated software under my parents roof, we'd start doing the robot while singing 'Fuck the Police', and then we'd have ice cream.

That guy is out of control. When you start saying things like beating your child into submission then you better just step back.

Yeah, My mom had an ex boyfriend who used to flip his shit out on me all the time for absolutely no reason, mostly coke rage. Tried to hit me once when my mom was working at the bar when i was like 13~ and I beat the shit out of him.  Didn't do anything positive for me except amplify my hatred for people.  Gave me a lot of insight and firsthand experience in dealing with shitbags.   If you're getting angry with your kid to the point where you can't control your anger, or coherently convey what what they're doing is wrong to you without beating the shit out of your kid or screaming at them like a fucktard, you shouldn't have had kids in the first place. There are some occasions when kids are younger and they're doing things like hitting people, or biting or being a shithead where you have to check them into place, but it's nothing like what this fuckwad is doing with his daughter.

Eh, my parents raised me well but I was still a little shit that needed my ass beat every now and then.  They got some leverage once I got a Super Nintendo and later a PC -- just take it for a while.

My parents were against the piracy thing but I certainly never got punished for it.  At most, "you shouldn't be doing that!" as I downloaded Windows 98 from dalnet on dialup for a week :/

good spanking goes far, at least it did with me but he crossed the line, just like the day my dad punched me in the faced... it doesnt make him a bad person, it all depends on how they react after and if they never do it again.

i dont have kids but i def wont be afraid to provide a good spanking if necessary, but thats not THE way to punish. i also think lying is something that will never go unpunished in my house, when i grew up i pretty much did things and when caught never lied about them to my parents, and thats all i expect from my kids. i told them that i liked smoking pot and wanted to do it with their permission (that one didnt go very well), i told them when i first had sex (i was 14, dad bought condoms and was somewhat proud i think), just never really lied in general.
