Figured I would be driving something JDM by now, especially making decent money in Toronto.  But it's kind of a waste.  You end up paying almost twice the cost of the car.  Then if you want to get something remotely unique, parts are just as expensive, unless you get something like a 180sx, EVO, STI, most hondas, because the parts already exist in most models here.  Skylines are an even bigger ripoff after you get one, I feel like most people prefer the non gt-r models because they are a nightmare to keep up.  Y'all like to talk shit on euro cars because they are a pain to keep running, try a car that you have to "overnight parts from japan".

Short answer, I have no interest in signing up on the Whitehouse's page haha.

There's plenty of sweet euro only vehicles that would be nice to get also. Ford Escort Cosworth, Lancia Delta Integrale, audi rs2 avant, almost anything TVR,  are some that come to my mind right off the bat.

Just a note -- the responses they produce for these petitions are exactly what you'd expect.  They're borderline retarded and really don't seem like there was ever any intention of these being taken seriously.  Basically, you're voting on what stupid justification you get to hear for stupid policies.

A sense of proportion should also guide those who police the boundaries between church and state. Not every mention of God in public is a breach to the wall of separation - context matters.

These phrases represent the important role religion plays in American public life, while we continue to recognize and protect the rights of secular Americans. And much worse regarding marijuana:

When the President took office, he directed all of his policymakers to develop policies based on science and research, not ideology or politics. So our concern about marijuana is based on what the science tells us about the drug's effects.

According to scientists at the National Institutes of Health- the world's largest source of drug abuse research and funded by the government- marijuana use is associated with addiction wat? no it isn't. heard of alcohol or cigs?, respiratory disease cigarettes???, and cognitive impairmentalcohol???. We know from an array of treatment admission information and Federal data that marijuana use is a significant source for voluntary drug treatment admissions voluntary as in agreeing to go to reduce a pot-related judicial sentence? and visits to emergency rooms cite this because I have never heard of people going to the hospital for pot. Studies also reveal that marijuana potency has almost tripled over the past 20 years fuck yeah!, raising serious concerns about what this means for public health – especially among young people who use the drug because research shows their brains continue to develop well into their 20's. Simply put, it is not a benign drug. OK, how many deaths?

Like many, we are interested in the potential marijuana may have in providing relief to individuals diagnosed with certain serious illnesses. That is why we ardently support ongoing research into determining what components of the marijuana plant can be used as medicine. To date, however, neither the FDA nor the Institute of Medicine have found smoked marijuana to meet the modern standard for safe or effective medicine for any condition. fortunately you can vaporize it or eat it

As a former police chief, I recognize we are not going to arrest our way out of the problem. We also recognize that legalizing marijuana would not provide the answer to any of the health, social, youth education, criminal justice, and community quality of life challenges associated with drug use.

That is why the President's National Drug Control Strategy is balanced and comprehensive, emphasizing prevention and treatment while at the same time supporting innovative law enforcement efforts that protect public safety by providing alcohol as a substitute and failed attempts to disrupt the supply of drugs entering our communities. Preventing drug use is the most cost-effective way to reduce drug use but unfortunately it is absofuckinglutely retarded to think you can prevent use and its consequences in America. And, as we've seen in our work through community coalitions across the country, this approach works in making communities healthier and safer. We're also focused on expanding access to drug treatment for addicts. Treatment works. In fact, millions of Americans are in successful recovery for drug and alcoholism today although we dont use the most cost-effective way of preventing alcohol abuse by preventing alcohol use. And through our work with innovative , back-logged, and broke drug courts across the Nation, we are improving our criminal justice system to divert non-violent offenders into treatment so we can inflate our statistics on how many people request treatment for marijuana use.

Our commitment to a balanced approach to drug control is real. This last fiscal year alone, the Federal Government spent over $10 billion on drug education and treatment programs compared to just over $9 billion on drug related law enforcement in the U.S. You forgot to mention costs to law enforcement, courts, imprisoning people, ad campaigns, DEA, and loss of potential revenue in taxes and Funyun sales.  Also the fact that despite how much spending has increased over the past few decades, use hasn't really decreased.

Are you serious?  I get my GT-R's parts straight from the Nissan dealership, usually at cost.  No overnight parts from Japan.  In the 4 years I've owned the car the only thing I've needed to do was replace the clutch and change the oil/plugs.  They're just cars, if you maintain them properly they'll last a fuck load longer than if you don't.

The main problem is that the cost of these cars has plummeted in the past couple of years and therefore a lot more 18-19 year old ricers have been able to buy them and beat the fuck out of them without knowing the tiniest thing on preventive maintenance.

GT-Rs aren't expensive unless you are trying to build the motor, then (aside from the oil pump situation) it's normal pricing.  We also get parts from the dealership, but it's sometimes special order.
