Holy shit.  That's not gonna put much og that power down, lol.  Very cool though.

I feel the same way, yes its neat to have put a v10 in a small car, but really you wouldn't want to drive the thing.

My 550 is basically the same car as the M5 minus the V10 (4.8L V8 instead) it's a small car tho. I don't really see the problem.

Drive and E30 and you will understand, they handle like heaps of shit. My stockish daily driver is an 89 325is, the thing is way too tail happy, fun to fuck around and drift corners in, but with serious power, no thanks. And yes I have driven properly set up E30's they still don't handle well.

Your 550 is ten times the car an E30 is, they are actually nice to drive and don't try to kill you when you are doing normal speeds around corners.

Hmmm.  Maybe I don't want an E30 anymore...

this actually makes me want one more.  There's a kid who went to my school who had a really crappy one (ran on 4 of 6 cylinders), and he got a new car, but his old one is sitting around.  I want to buy it for like $200 (what its worth), and put a smallblock in it.

That would fuckin ruin it.

S2K motor is like the original M3 Motor X 2

I drove an E30 M3 for about a month, it had minor mods and was really well balanced.. Same people who think these things don't handle are the same ones who say 911's don't handle.

Hard car to drive at the limit, but good drivers are rewarded and bad ones laid to waste

Edit: only Small block that would be good , would be an LSX

i think people that think they dont handle well are people like me that are used to shit box civics with zero body roll that feel like they handle good to me .   my e36 feels like a dinosaur but on the highway going 100mph i can confidently take a sharp turn onto a ramp late and know i got the car to handle that type off stunt driving shit  and the stoping power to back it up, when all 4 brakes clamp the whole fuckin car squats evenly, at least my old 318 did with all new brakes.  that thing felt like it could stop hard enough to put me through the windshield not like my civic with all swaped integra brakes would just skid and slide around  i could skid for like 90000ft going 50mph

No, I think 911's handle quite well, I've owned one and driven LOTS. The E30's are just really unbalanced unstable cars. My Mercedes wagon literally handles significantly better.

I actually looked into that one.  The biggest headache looks to be relocating the brake master cylinder and booster.

Well that's depressing. I was thinking about picking up some older BMWs to mob on around town. I guess I'll stay away.

The E34 chassis, like the 5 series stuff of the same era aren't too bad, they are just big and heavy but throw in a modern engine or the m5 engine and they are more fun.

e34's are better forsure, not as sporty lookin as the same years 3 series but the interiors and electronics hold up alo t better and the rear end and shocks mounts dont tear from the body.  way easier to fit a turbo in the engine bay too  :noel:

Was just informed that this shop is like 15 min from my house.  They've always done good work.  I'll stop in and see if they have some fab work pictures
