Anyone know where you can find a list of QAM channels online?  I haven't found a site that does a basic name - number list.

What I'm looking for is:

CNN - 63.14
MTV-63.15
FOXNEWS-63.16

New TVs come with a tuner than can pick up analog, digital, and HDTV.  Analog vs digital are both low resolution, but digital provides a slightly better picture.  A QAM or digital tuner, picks up digital channels.  So because you have the ability to bring in 3 different types of channels someone came up with the idea of making subcategories within a channel.  So a normal TV will pick up just channel 4.  A HDTV w/ QAM tuner will pick up Channel 4.0(Analog), Ch 4.1 (HDTV), CH 4.2 (Digital).

The issue is once you get out of channels 1-13, there is no logic to how the QAM/HD channels are organized.  So lets say MSNBC is channel 50 normally, the digital/QAM channel might be 123.17.  Why?  No clue.  All I know is its annoying.

Actually QAM is for analog/digital cable channels...

ATSC is OTA digital broadcasts.

NTSC is OTA analog broadcasts (which no longer exist).

QAM channels will vary by your location, and best way to find out what's what is to
1. do a channel scan with your tv
2. ask your cable provider

Shitty thing is cable companies don't usually list all their sub-channels (48-1, 48-2, 48-3, etc)

Sorry, I did get some of the stuff wrong.

I did steps 1&2.  My LG TV ID's about 20 channels with names the others are blank and uneditable(majorly annnoying).  I spoke with Comcast and "They don't control those channels so they don't have a list".

Thanks.  That is exactly what I'm looking for.
