You've got to be shitting me.
2 drywall mex finish lower level of house, I give them $1300 same day. Tonight they call and say,
"Hey, we're just cleaning up the upstairs, we'll be done in an hour? (9pm/empty house). When are you gonna be here?"
Me: I'm not coming there. I'm wrapped up taking care of something else.
"But I thought you were gonna pay us tonight?".
Me: No, I told you I got the check from the customer today, for the work that you'll still need an hour to finish. Yep, I got the check for the whole job BEFORE you were finished. I've simply got to go to the bank tomorrow, then everyone will get paid.
After that I think I heard a snivel. Does anyone else go to work, and after an hour tell your boss that you need to be paid for the hour you just worked?
I feel sick knowing somebody could be that hard up for money, especially when I gave the two of them $1300 for last week.
On top of that, I've got my known idiot mex working this week, and nothing surprises me with him. He has one rule: Whatever you do, DON'T TALK TO THE CUSTOMER. I can buy him dinners and drive him home everyday, and he still doesn't have $2 in his pocket for the cheap cigarettes he smokes. He wanted 20 bucks today too, so he packed 175 bags of insulation in my garage, and cleaned the truck. These fucken beaners amaze me.
