Look at all the work done to beef up that axle.  Then a single bolt?  That's so retarded I almost want to say it was a set-up.

Limiting straps to limit downward suspension travel

i read all the comments about jumping cars higher and thought 'sure' but damn that really was pitiful and I took my 92 lumina off worse shit many times and only twisted the unibody slightly at some point.

Though humiliating sometimes its what people need to learn how to build shit the right way and he should be able to adapt most of what he has without too extreme expense.  I'm redesigning a machine right now from the shitty job the engineer we just fired did.  It really reinforces theories etc to see something epically fail.

Ironically this morning I noticed he had pneumatic cylinders bolted on a single shear shoulder bolt and the first thing I did was replace it with a pin in double shear.  It is some pretty basic shit

Its strange that one whole side broke... i would think both front mounts would shear first.

I was in the store yesterday and this piece of shit is on the front of 4 wheeler magazine or one of those fucking off road magazines.

Ya, March 2010 issue of Four wheeler...this truck was custom built by bigfoot...had like $100,000 worth of parts on it, custom 4-link suspension, biodiesel motor with somethin arojnd 900 hp and 1200 ft/lb torque, 150 shot nitrous, the inside was decked to the max with 6 7" monitors and 3 amps all custom hand crafted...steering axle in the back for articulated steering, custom fabbed to relocate the pumpkin to the center, divorced transfercase to correct driveshaft angle, dual eiback coilovers at each wheel, 51" tires with custom beadlock, limiting straps for .....

ALL that and they failed to see such a weak point in the suspension...haha FAIL!

I've got the same thing on a machine at my plant. 4 large dump doors with pneumatic cylinders that are single sheer bolted to the side of the machine in such a way that the action tightens and loosens the bolt. What genius designs these things? I stacked a bunch of greased washers on each side and tacked it for now until I get some brackets made.

Took a 25' Chris Craft over a sandbar (accident) at around 35.  Probably got about as much air.  Only bent the prop.
