As for what's wrong, I would think that officers that have access to a weapon of this caliber would have the training on how to properly use it, including putting the magazine in correctly.

FYI most police aren't looking for killing power. It will still penetrate light body armor, and the fact it's labeled "assault rifle" deters most people well enough. They are also trained to keep their index finger above the trigger, at least up here they are.

ive seen guys changing mags on ar's before and have them drop out the second they let go because they didn't bang it up there, i have no clue how that mag is still holding there. must have jammed it so hard it dug into the aluminum.

Ya on SOME AK mags yo have to grind the tang that locks the mag into the reciever down a tad so the lock can close on it or it can eject itself while firing...
