BOUGHT a b20z
« on: March 19, 2010, 11:25:53 AM »

Found one on craigslist a couple hours away.  I think I might pick it up.  Its a b20z longblock, pulled from a running car.  Still waiting to get back more info on it, but looks like theres no distributor from the pics.  He's asking $500 but is negotiable.  Would $400 be a good deal for this bitch if I can get him that low?  I have a gsr tranny, mounts, clutch and pressure plate, axles, and a shift linkage that I could have my brother ship to me.  FCUK.

Answer you fuckers.  Also, can I fit a longblock in the hatch of my 95 civic hatch, or do I need to take the front seat out?

Wurd.  No distributor, but has alternator, intake mani, all other attached bullshit.  No p/s or ac shit, but who needs that anyway.  I shouldn't be buying this shit because johnny says i'm poor, but fuck it I'm doing it.  He says it has around 50k miles on it.

Now I'll need a distributor, starter, and some other shit I'll think of later.  Whose got em?

Picked the fucker up.  $425 out the door.  Now I just need to have my little brother ship my the rest of my shit.  I'll still need a distributor, starter, and slave cylinder.  Swap is going to take a while.  I don't have a garage, most of my tools, or an engine hoist at all.  Should be a shit show when I get down to it.

Every Honda motor ever sold that doesn't have documentation has 50k on it. Look around at any CL ad, it's amazing that 99/100 Honda motors only have 50k  :-\

Yeah, i'm not too worried about whatever the real mileage is.  A b20z2 came out of a 00 or 01 crv, meaning its fucking pristine compared to my 95 d15turd, and its probably been driven by a middle aged woman for the majority of its life.  I want to start on this bitch now.  Have to do an the ole auto to manual conversion first though.

Someone sell me the center console from a manual eg.  OK

You need the cup holder too?  And where you located.  I think the part bolted to the motor on the b20 is different then what you need....  I don't remember what one you need though... ls maybe....

Better do a thorough check before you even waste your time putting it in.

Slave cylinder - $12 at your local vatozone.

At least it probably doesn't have a cracked cylinder or leak like someone else's I know.
