The guy in the last picture is Charles Madrid and if you were as bad ass as he was, or still is, at building Honda motors you would have that ego to. ;)

I'm in SoCal too but only have 2 V8's right now. No Honduh for me at this moment.

Charles madrid is a mechanical scholar but also a failure at running a shop/business. He failed and burned alot of people down in so cal for many years. Its also wildly believed the guy has major issues. He once was drunk screaming at people at a battle of the imports wearing a girlie girl tank top. Funny if your a random dude not when your trying to be the face of import racing.


The guy is ok in my book minus working fo the devil now.


Again it was an era of trail and error but trust me it wasnt uncommon to see the pit crew civic he built/drove blowing up damn near every weekend at LACR at grudge night.


All the big name guys would head out to palmdale to test out cars before events. Also all the fast turbo cars back then were all built by JG engine wise and the pit crew car was no different.
