I dont give a fuck if this teaches me anything, im 100% sure this is just "can you carry your gun into the white house?" sort of shit but - if I get this VA non resident permit, can I use it to buy a hand gun at a store here in PA? I am an NY resident, living in PA, wanting a VA non resident permit, so the law can't keep a brotha down.

If it is on your state list for permits accepted by your state, yes.  Utah is another good one

Wow anyone can walk into a retail store and buy a rifle without any check in any state. Not only that but if you're worried about some "lil niglet hitting you with a stray bullet" you think he went through the proper channels? I have lived here all my life and have yet to see anyone have a gun pulled on them or a gun on anyone besides a cop. It's always funny to hear people talk shit about Alabama, yet from my prospective most of the other states are more fucked up than we could ever be.

Gun permit = Easier for them to find you/your guns when they decide to take them away.  I have no permits for my guns, and have never been asked to see a permit for one.

I'm not familiar with the laws in PA, but from what I'm reading it sounds like you need to either apply for a permit to purchase a handgun, unless you have a concealed carry permit, right? That's how it works here in MN too, the carry permit works as your permit to purchase, but it has to be a MN carry permit.

Might be the same thing there in PA, even if you can carry with a VA non-resident permit, it might not do you any good as your permit to purchase.

And +1 on getting a non-NY license.
