That really only applies to when you put those stupid short gears in. With the stock gearing they're not too bad. Not too great, but not too bad at all. You can actually drive a stock geared camaro daily without going broke if you can keep your foot out of it.
HP/L argument is just dumb for going fast. It's just bragging rights that's all. It's just there in an attempt too point out how inferior the V8 is.

I'm partial to the every stock LSx has a bearing, wrist pin, or valvetrain peck and needs to be gone through before being reliable as stock clearnaces/tolerances are shit excuse.

I love how the majority on this site thinks even well done n/a builds are so stupid.  Its complete ignorance.  That 220whp n/a build will keep up with or beat most cars on here making 300 or less whp boosted. 

Do I have more fun with my turbo setup? yes...but do I miss my n/a setup sometimes? yes...they both serve a purpose, a well built n/a motor is awesome for going around corners, not so awesome when you run into a fast car on the freeway though.  If I were to build a car for RR/AutoX/Time Attack, theres no fucking way there would be a turbo on the car.  Drag racing car, no way it would be N/A.

I give it 6 months before the siamese sleeves crack.

If I were to build a car for RR/AutoX/Time Attack, theres no fucking way there would be a turbo on the car. 

For a FWD, or super light car, I agree.  AWD/RWD turbo cars work in that environment, although care has to be taken that the result isn't a thermal nightmare that melts itself down.

Thermal issues on a RR car is the exact reason I wouldn't do it.  You could put a small responsive turbo on a FWD with an LSD and the car would probably be an animal on the track, but 100f track temps would destroy the thing, n/a motors just need an oil cooler and they'll take a beating all day.

yes that is 15.6 e.t, Goddamn spun through 5th... launching at 3.5-4k was not happening, so launching light around 1.5-2k pussy footing down the track as it would break loose if I punched it into second or third



For shits and giggles I pulled the filter off my intake, picked up 1mph but ran slower, i need fucking slicks.



Im hoping high - mid 12's actually driving it down the track, 220hp was prob a bit high though.

i figure the trap speed would be lower without being able to launch the thing, along with shifting early and light.  I'll be ok with low 13's if thats what it ends up being tho. My first trap was 88mph spinning down the track, so we'll see.  This will be my first time out with slicks when my rims get here tho, hopefully I get the 60' down lol. Im going to try to get some nitrous before I leave to basic anyway, maybe sell it if it doesnt blow up.
