Goddamn ebay, fail to sell my car
« on: June 02, 2010, 12:55:02 PM »

Ugh, going to have to relist and price it crackhead low for a quick sale. I thought fifty cents on the dollar was a fair starting price but I guess I'll have to start lower.  :'(

too bad.  If I were in the market, I'd rock it (although I'm not into buying pre-built cars).

Yeah dude it just pisses me off I finally fixed it up and got it together pretty much how I like it, and its been treating me well and now I have to sell it just because of changing phases in my life. It sucks because I am never on the buying end of deals like when I sell my cars - when I sold my teg for 2300 the dude drove it at least another 20k that I knew of without fixing anything, thats a damn good deal for a turbo g2. Now this car is gonna go for a crackhead price after I was looking for 7k and I feel like some other bastard is going to get a ton of miles off of it that I busted my ass for again. Damn if only I could stay committed to women like I do to cars I'd have more chilluns then flip nog by now with some 200 pound honey.

Honestly, you'll be lucky to get 3k.  You're better parting it out, although thats a fuckton of work.  People that are shopping for BMW's look for newer ones because of the status symbol of it, then theres the other people that shop for BMW's and get the old school ones for the cool nostalgic aspect of it, and there is no one in the middle looking for your car.  I mean cmon now, in this economy, who is going to want to drop 7k on a 15 year old BMW that isnt a real M series, just a clone, and it has a hackjob turbo kit on it.  While the turbo setup may or may not be a hackjob, in 99.9% of peoples eyes, if its not a storebought 'turbo kit' (i.e. greddy, sts, hk) the figure its a hackjob that is pieced together and do not realize its probably much higher quality than a storebought 'turbo kit'.  But likely it is a hackjob given the the hackjob that was your integra.

A friend just sold a 95 325i M5 clone for $4.5K, it was a stock mechanical car with that poopy oyster leather interior.  He had to sit on it for a while, but it sold.

Yuriy, the problem with your ad is not the car, but that you make the car sound like a piece of shit.

I am completely honest about my cars - I have sold 7 on ebay to this day, 3 through auctions 4 through classifieds and I have not had one person get surprised or bitch. I don't need to jew people, I seduce them. Some kids mom sent me an email today that they were interested - he called, then his dad called, I talked to each of them on the phone for 10 minutes, explained that I will give it to the poor bastard with a pig rich tune so he doesnt blow it up in the first week, told them the car wont pass inspection without some greenbacks given to wetbacks and they seemed enthused. I am going to hopefully sell it to them this weekend in PA, if that falls though all I am out is a trip back to college for another night of oblivion. Kid was like... so are you including the chip tune for 7k... and I was like, uh 7? Uh, yeaaah. Then he "jewed" me down to 6.5 and hopefully they will bring cash. Else I'll keep praying for fleabay to come through.

I wasn't insinuating he lie.  He comes off like a smarmy, untrustworthy creep in the ad from the moment he mentions investment banking.
