so a friend was getting video of some people doing their "2 step". So i did mine, and here it is. Some drunk kid tried to light his cigarette with off my two step... LOL . he failed. Hopefully next time he is farther away for the video. This was done at like 2-230am LOL. I should have been at a bar.

where the fuck is my TB. FedEx said expected delievery 8/3. Its now 8/4 WTF!!!

Local guy selling a Garrett 60-1 with 3in v band welded on it for $100obo. Seals are blown and he said the fins have some wear. What you guys think.. Should i chance it.. What should i look at when i meet up with him.

Check to see if any housings have marks right?
Check shaft for in-and-out and side-to-side play?

Am i missing anything.

Are you local to them??? I notice they sell alot of rebuilt ones.. and then they also have cores. Im guessing you bought one with some shaft play?

Damn.... dont really feel like updating this right now. But good news. As of Oct. 31st I should be going back to work. I cant wait. Dont know what shift it is, but i do know it will be taking as much overtime from people as I can. That will totally speed up the rebuild of my hatch. If its the position I think it is, its going to be paying more than $20/hr. If thats the case I will be looking into a new turbo manifold, possibly 3in piping on the cold side, new bov, and some love for the head. Springs/retainers and some cams.

Picked up my flywheel yesterday before work... i need to stop stocking up on parts and start installing them. and there are parts that arent pictured... like intercooler, piping, downpipe..

LS trans, clutch/pp, flywheel, and some ARP stuff installed this weekend. And maybe the fuel stuff. Got to find the link i saved for the bosch 044 install... LOL

Oh.. the priority mail box is all my fuel components... except for the fuel rail. Thats in the other little white box next to it.

so didnt do much this weekend to earlier tonight.

ARP flywheel bolts and resurfaced flywheel installed.

Competition Stage 4 Clutch and ARP pressure plates installed

Then LS trans on and GSR trans out... I now have reverse!!!!!!!!!!!
Also this is the junk that came out.

Turbo still isn't on but hope to change that this weekend. I bought a ebay turbo, sold it and bought a used SC61, found out the SC61 was garbage, now have a new SC6262SP with .82 AR vband. Ordered a atp flange that allows for a 3" pipe to be slip on(should be here thursday).

Other things installed: dual core aluminum rad, slim fan, bosch 044. All intercooler piping is 2.5" also wastegate is at around 11-12psi so should be fun once everything goes on. Still debating raising the boost since its my DD, stock jdm b18c... so 10.6:1 compression w/ arphead studs. E85 all day and I know I won't be running out of fuel.

Turbo kit is on and downpipe was made. Left short after without a tune and drove to NC for the RHMT East Coast meet. Still was running my JRSC E85 map and 550s.

Got the car tuned by my friend on his dyno.

Final numbers from wastegate pressure. 314whp 212wtq @ 8.5psi The intercooler with its 2.25" inlets are killing me.

I'm a sucky driver...best time borrowing a friends slicks was 12.8 @ 114. The 60' was a 2.1.

First time ever running in slicks and only got three passes with them. My friend recorded that run on his phone and posted to youtube. Here is the link. I didn't do a good burnout out all.

Installed new intercooler and went to get retuned. Drove the car to the dyno and on the lift. When I started the car to pull it on the dyno heard a tapping/knocking noise. Turned off car and we pulled the head to see if I bent a valve... Car bent a rod.

drained the oil and pulled the oil pan off to find some little pieces of metal. Go the block up on a engine stand by myself with flywheel and alternator still on it.

Car has been sitting like this now for 3 months. July wasnt a good month for me. Car bent the rod and then a week later got laid off.

I have picked up another GSR block that was recently bored to 81.5mm and never used, gsr crank, and also some used eagle rods. So slowly the car is being rebuilt while im unemployed. Also got some ACL gsr bearings.

In the next week or two hoping to have the headgasket, new water pump, and misc. seals.

Starting work on 10/31 cant wait.

a rod was bent from a flooded cylinder... will be rebuilt soon JD. You will see it again after another 9-10 hour drive to NC.
