Topic: Which valves to use for ls head? (Read 8657 times)

at the dyno day JD and i were takin intake valves for the ls I believe it was the prelude b21a1 motor was said to be larger but same length? I looked up on napa website and the b21a1 valves are:

head diameter: 32.995mm
lenght: 104.394 mm

B18b:
Head diameter: 31.09
lenght: 105.537

thats all I can find does anyone know which valves are the right one?

Jd is the only one Im sure who has dove into this on this board. Make sure you do bowl work to match the valves on the head!

its not cost effective if you are not the one doing it because you will need larger seats installed, I am planning on giving it a try but it has been put on the back burner, but the b21a1 is what i have written down to work and is what i plan on using

Eight seats at $5/per and install per seat is ~$3.50. Oh noes, not $70 after tax Especially since you had to pay nothing for some B20A/B21A1 valves. TOO MUCH

where the hell are you getting those prices 5.00 dollars a seats seams possible but 3.50 to cut the head for larger seats, heat the head and install the seats and cut the seat angles say a minimum of 3, maybe in china that cost 3.50 You still need to enlargen the bowls and by that time you could have just had a b16 head, but hey if you could find me a shop that would do it for your price it would be bad ass

okay so got on majestic's site to order the seats but they dont show by engine code shows a prelude 2.0 and a 2.05 I assume it is the 2.05 but can anyone confirm?

measure the stock ls seat's od and id, add 2mm, see if those dimensions match the one listed
