Real Home Made Beef Stew
« on: October 08, 2010, 11:59:37 PM »

alright welcome to today's home made beef stew from scratch.

alright first off you start with good ol' hardy pot.

lay out all the ingredients and make sure you have a cutting board.

basically it's 2 cans of corn i bought for 75c and some steak rub for $4.50

Mushrooms $1.85, Tomatoes $2, Beef cut 2 lbs $5.50, whole onion 70c (i bought a lot).

bell peppers 2 green and red ones and $4, 2 lbs green beans $4

All together i spent about $24 of stuff material. but you'll see for yourself

Oh yeah don't forget my personal trusty knife i pretty much use for everything.

cut the whole onion into small pieces don't cry like a bitch like i did.

don't forget to cut the bell peppers too. you may want to cut them smaller then i did. they were rather large i have to admit.

throw the minced onions in the pan. heat it up full blast, i threw some garlic while i was at it just for the hell of it.

stir until it clears or at least till they are up to heat.

throw in peppers in the pot.

let that shit warm up

throw mushrooms, green beans in -

and Tomatoes all in at the same time. now its a good time to crush the shit out of the tomatoes so the juices flow into the whole pan and everything. it's also a good time to throw in some steak rub just for some flavoring and such.

wait till that shit warms up and changes texture and then it'll be time to throw in the meat.

Toss that shit in. add more steak rub.

looks good huh

right here is when the meat is all cooked inside and the fluid is mostly water from the beef but that shit taste good.

now i just threw 2 cans of corn in that concoction

mixed that shit up even more and bon appetite.

i usually eat it with my rice seeing how Im a ching chong motherfucker but that's just me.

oh yeah the steak rub is just regular steak rub seasoning. it isn't anything special. but generally it should have salt, black pepper, dill seed, red peppers, garlic and paprika.

best shit I've tasted is kirkland steak rub from Costco.

but good luck for anyone who wants to try my shit out. taste real good.

looks good brohammer, this is basically what I do 1x a week when i live on my own

you can throw in some fresh pineapple chunks to give it a little sweetness, add some hotsauce to go to india, toss in some smoked salmon if youre wierd like me.... shit you can throw anything in this sorta dish to suit your personal taste. I like to put some rice IN the mix and let the rice add some more fluff.

yea i already had a way where i could just put it up quickly and easy. however I'm a lazy son of a bitch and never took the time to actually put it up.

it's virtually the same thing that i put back on ohmt. but i fixed some spelling while i was at it. maybe took me a whole 4 minutes to actually put it up.

yer a gook?

yes but I'm half Mexican and Vietnamese. so I'm a bean and cheese egg roll.

I toss in potatoes + beef stock to start, let it cook down some.  ~5 capfuls Allegro or Dale's seasoning (both soy based) as well as copious black pepper, paprika, thyme, rosemary, and basil.  The bell peppers usually go in last as my kid likes them crisp, although I think it adversely affects flavor.  Also, Richard fucked your mom twice last week and your sister three times.

btw I've learned that you can use a crock pot when making this recipe. the guide above has it.. where you have to constantly stir it and be there. it takes about a half hour to 45 minutes of actually cooking time to actually get well within edible ripeness. not to mention 15 or so minutes to cut all the other ingredients before you can take throw it all in.

if your lazy like me you'll figure out a way where you can just just toss it all together with ease.

there are some changes you have to do in order to use a crock pot. before you can put the tomatoes in you actually have to blend it to a mushy goup. this has to be done before you can put it in the crock pot. it looks disgusting actually. air mixes in the tomatoes and it looks like gloppy mess. during cooking stage the air bubbles in the tomatoes bleed out and the broth from the meat take more a form. it doesn't look tasty at all in the beginning. however, in the end taste and looks absolutely the same. in fact I'd say it actually tastes better.

the green beans and red-green bell peppers and get real tender. I mean really really tender if you put the crock pot on low settings for 5-6 hours. the meat also gets real tender too. as moisture stays within the your actual food. i found it to be more of a stew like quality. however this is a meal that can last you 3 days or fill 6 people 1 time with seconds.

if you buy the ingredients and spend 30 minutes to make it before you go to work or before you run on your errands for the end of the day. i guarantee you that the moment you come home after a 5 or so hour. you'll come home to the wonder of, "OH SNAP SON MY FOOD SMELLS GOOD"

i also got to note that i got a new knife. my old knife was warn down after crushing some bone and hard coconuts. so i got a new one that i got excited for. however that new knife rusted to shit and pissed me off.

so I'm going to make a new thread about my all Purpose knife. just you wait.

How well does this stew handle to being brought along on intergalatic time space traveling by hyperblasting through quantum dimensions after disassociating from our peon bodies and into our glarpar spirit selves.

Since it is fabricating a meal it should be in the fabrication section.
