Strange CRX issue
« on: October 28, 2011, 08:14:05 PM »

After taking the interior out to clean and sound deaden I put it all back together the last owner left the seat belt sensor unplugged.

I plugged it in and now when I hit the brake pedal the buzzer that says you're not buckled goes off the light and the door open light and everything. It's so annoying I unplugged it again but I want to fix it right.

Also the dome light doesn't work when in the middle so I'm thinking something with the door switch but figured I would ask what to look for maybe it's common so I don't have to look too deep.

im thinking something is up with the brakes either a tail light out of a fuse is gone for the power to the brake switch

or a ground in the back

didnt honda put the horn/tail light/reverse light all into one ground and one power wire that runs through the brake switch?

this reminds me of a car i had that did a lot of weird things when you hit the brakes. ended up being an 1156 bulb crammed in where an 1157 bulb was supposed to be. its probably not your issue, but it could be and im sure you will find that it is something equally as silly

fucking box started smoking and i saw a flame start up so i grabbed a bucket of water and splashed it on the breaker box.

My 91 std did that once after a motor swap. If I remember right it was the horn fuse or something like that in the under hood box that was blown. Car had no brake lights and the beeper would go off when they where pressed.
