I've not seen a candidate I like yet. Before Obama I was hoping Hillary would have gotten the nomination in 2007.

Let's paint a picture where Ron Paul wins the popular vote by a landslide, but the electoral college passes him over.  How do you think the people will react?

If voting mattered it would have been made illegal long ago.

The us is fucked and has been fucked for a while, and voting was allowed through it all.

there are certain things that make me think Ron Paul is a tad crazy. he pretty much refuses the idea of evolution as a whole and he does want to end planned parenthood.

I get his point on certain things like ending the whole student loan deal but i think it will cause chaos and trouble for many before it will start to fix things.  He's only going to have 4 years to make that happen and to fix certain aspects like the loan situation its going to take longer than that.

He does have personal beliefs but he sets them aside when it comes to gov.

I agree it would suck, yes it would be hard, but it's either cut the fucking cancer out and cauterize the wound or bleed to death at this point.

The student loan scam is the least of the worries, granted loans with absolutely NO consumer protection and the guaranty of the ability to steal from the person who takes the loan if they can't pay at the moment. There are larger issues at hand especially the retarded tea party. Cut spending (except the denfense budget) no gov money to build infrastructure! We need money to blow other countries up then hire US contractors to build infastructure there.

i dont think he sets them completely aside when hes anti abortion and tries to end planned parenthood.  He does think that America needs to be more christian,  http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul148.html  His religion pretty much tells him to put God first so i just wonder where he will draw the line and just how much of his stance on certain subjects is driven by that thought.

Dont get me wrong i do think currently that hes the best option and there is always some sort of controversy when it comes to presidential candidates.  i mean we did say the exact same thing about JFK when he was elected, everyone knew teh pope would be running the country.  SO im taking it with a grain of salt but i wonder how crazy teh old man really is sometimes.

and yes i realize his beef with planned parenthood is the money but there are far more costly things than planned parenthood if money is what your after.  None of those other places are a religious focal point though.

Libertarian principals make him agains abortion not religion.

Once you have those 46 chromosomes combined you have the same right as any other human inside or outside the vag. Killing a person is killing a person, inside or outside a pink taco.

Typical. He wants to end public funding for programs like pp. What is wrong with that? It's  not a moral issue.

No one else has proposed a solid plan *for* fixing it, and the longer you let it go on the worse everything gets anyway.

Everything I got from his religious outlook can be summed simply, and it meshes perfectly with libertarian ideals.  God gave man free will so they could make choices, and bear the repercussions of those choices.  I'm no fan of religion, but he doesn't shove jesus down my throat and talks in a logical fashion about how to live in and work with the physical world around us.

Cutting planned parenthood -- who cares?  Just because he wants to cut student loans doesn't mean he doesn't want people to learn.  I think if a state legalized abortion, Ron Paul would be the only president to allow it to happen.  I saw something the other day about some woman that had x number of blind kids, x number of deaf, x with other problems, etc, and it asked if she shouldn't be allowed to produce more children -- then ended saying after those failures she produced Beethoven.  It's intent was to stray you from supporting abortion, but where it fails is listing the other 8 children that didn't amount to anything special.  People die all the day that could have been awesome, if they didn't die.  If they do die, well you'll never know what awesomeness they were capable of to bitch about it ;)  I'd rather women have the right to abort their baby if they don't think they can care for it properly or don't want it.  Obviously the ideal thing would be to not get pregnant in the first place, but to believe they'll be a good parent if they didn't want it in the first place is stupid, yo.

People also have this retarded idea that people have "souls."  There's no fucking soul, just an amazingly complex biological processor.  If souls existed, neurological disorders wouldn't ;)

Once you have those 46 chromosomes combined you have the same right as any other human inside or outside the vag. Killing a person is killing a person, inside or outside a pink taco.

Meh.  Sure, technically you're killing a person, but it's not the exact same.  Post-uterus people develop relationships with others, become self-aware, and become part of society...  A fetus has no idea it exists, and I don't think snuffing it is any worse than rubbing one out.  I repeat: when parents want to abort, they typically either don't want the baby, or don't have the means to properly care for it.  In either case, the child most likely will not live an easy life.  Also: THERE ARE TOO MANY FUCKING PEOPLE ALREADY.  I hate to break it to you, but it's inevitable there will eventually be either mass starvation or mandated birth control of some sort -- we don't have limitless resources.

As far as his religious stance: while I'd like for him to be on the side of atheism -- who gives a fuck?  Are there any other candidates that aren't associated with a religion?  As JD said, he doesn't shove it down anyone's throat, and I have never seen him even mention religion unless he's specifically asked about it.  Even when asked, he doesn't seem to feel it's relevant or that he even wants to discuss it.  Some people have "faith" that's so strong, they are able to deny science.  As long as it doesn't interfere with his politics, I'm not too worried, and even if it does, I'm sure it'd be to a much lesser degree than the other candidates.

Student loans?  I vaguely remember him saying he wouldn't immediately cut it off, just like the other cuts would be primarily through attrition.  Whatever the case, IT NEEDS TO GO.

Whoever voted for anyone but RP, you must be trollin'

Danijel, if you insist on making trash carry their water headed love children to term, and fail to correctly rear the genetically damaged and utterly unwanted little mongrels as is their wont, you'll discover the joys of retroactive abortion aka justifiable homocide.

I R familiar with mitosis ;)

It hasn't tasted, felt, smelled, seen, heard anything.  It's a "blank" baby.  It has the potential to be a person, just like every ovulation and every skeet, but it is not one until it actually escapes the uterus.

If it's not your fetus or body incubating it, what concern is it of yours?

Yes, you may have noticed that the people with the most children are often the trashiest fucks.  Some do grow up to be an actual benefit to society, but most do not.  Look at statistics on income compared to number of children.  The people that make the most money, are typically smarter, and usually have fewer children.  The poorest, dumbest, drains on society tend to have the most.  I'd even be crazy enough to subsidize abortions for the trash, it'd be considerably cheaper than paying their offspring foodstamps and welfare their entire life.

I can see where it'd touch that, and I haven't spent enough time thinking about the whole thing to decide where I stand on it, but I support abortion for the benefit of the involved children and the benefit of society, not genetics ;)

I grew up in a high poverty area, 30% as of the last census, but I'm positive it was worse when I actually lived there.  I lived in a low-income double-wide.  However, my parents wanted us, wouldn't have aborted us, and thus provided us with an appropriate level of parenting.  Out of my school, only 2 of us in my entire class went to the "smart people" school.  The rest are mostly failures to this day.  Now we're all doing quite well.

The ones that want to abort understand it's the better course of action for their situation...
