Topic: car wont start makes clicking noise under the dash and lights will flash with it (Read 7418 times)

ok i have no idea whats going on now, i just dropped the motor in and had a problem with the idle. thought it might be the map and tps plugged in backwards...so went out to the car today switched the plugs around went to start the car and nothing happened.? . but the car is making a clicking noise from under the driver side dash so i took the panel off and found no alarm. but i could feel two of the black relays clicking so i unplugged both of them and the noise stopped tried to start the car again and nothing happened. so i plugged them back in and they started making the clicking noise again? and still no start...when they make the clicking noise the brake lights dash lights will flash with the clicking noise also when i turn the key over i can hear it make a different clicking noise maybe from one of the two relays but nothing happens, and the thing is, is that it did this yesterday when i got the motor running but the car started while it was making the clicking noise and flashing but anyone have any ideas to what is going on???

ok not sure what was going on but after jumping the starter a few times now it will turn over and start with the KEY but relays are still clicking and lights are still flashing....i dont know

yea not sure why they flash but its not the flashers when i turn the flashers on they will make my turn signals flash this clicking and flashing is making my dash lights and brake lights flash i am going to try some new relays from the junk yard to see if it does anything

Are you sure it dosent have an alarm? Sure sounds like it did at one point maybe. Look all around for a alarm box. Like ontop of the heater ducting and shit!

i'll look again later, because thats what i thought but didnt see anything i know they like to hide those alarm boxes. one thing that sucks about the car is i bought it off some :somb: and they painted everything in the car green and put NOS stickers and fake air vents all over the car its been so much work getting it back to stock but couldn't pass up the deal $250 for a 97 civic ex with no motor or trans... but its been horrible getting it all back together
