They are getting cheaper, but so does the J swap. 

The undesireable K24s are dirty cheap, and the EP3 trans, what I would use with one, is usually not too bad either.  The swap shit is what costs too much still.

The turbo manifold is the $$$ from what I have seen, but I could try my hand at some Danz (most recent incarnation that I can remember) style MIGed mild steel awesomeness.
