this is like B-series into an EG/EH Civic. shit your using the stock style mounts with a little plate bolted to them.

wiring on the other hand... but your taking a motor out from 1955 and swapping one in from 2000.

maybe im to use to builds like danmah's with gangsta ass engine/trans mounts, and other riggery.

I like it. I'm just gonna try and clean a little here and there and then get it re assembled. Then I need to pull my 327 and radiator and do a little timing on my inner fenders and drop this thing in.

Well I got a drive by cable ls6 throttle body coming. Scored that fucker for $45 shipped. Picking up a gto oil pan, pick up and windage tray on saturday for $200. Head studs should be here by next week. Then I'll probably hit a wall for a bit and not really pick up anything else for a while.

Nope. I got totally fucked on that deal. Filed a PayPal claim. Was told to send the pump back for a refund. Was $30 to ship that pos to china (paypal covered shipping) then when paypal couldn't track shipping once it left the county (china don't give a fuck about customer's) after 10 days of not being able to track it they said I was fucked because there was no way to show that he received the pump. And I had to eat the $77.00 So I lost on that deal.

The biggest problem was that it said it shipped from multiple locations so I though it was coming from usa. Nope........ fml. I should have filled the pump with sand b4 i shipped it but he was just gonna turn around and resell it to some other poor chump.

Oh and the throttle body I was gonna pick up I got my money refunded because it didn't have any sensors on it and I'm pretty sure he drilled the throttle blade to make it idle better. So I asked him to refund my paypal. Don't need another headache.

I need a external pump. I was gonna run 1 bosch 044 I have the an fittings for it and everything. Just need the pump and a filter. I have the pre pump filer, or should I say screen.

Well I was gonna go to my local metal supply and pick up some material and make some sub frame connectors, but summit was having free shipping on anything over $99 so I ordered a set of global west sub connectors. Last thing I want is this car to turn into a taco once I hammer the power down.

Well I'm gonna keep the worn out mono leaf springs in the rear. Upgrade to some lakewood rear shocks or some other adjustable rear shock. Cal tracks or something similar. Then I will do the c clip eliminator in the rear end. The rear end is already a 8.2" 10 bolt with posi. I'm pretty sure once this car starts getting busy it's not going to be getting traction. Then maybe one day a mini tub for the rear end. And most important, it's gonna need the brakes upgraded. 4 way manual drum brakes and 600whp is asking for death.

Ok, so I got the block cleaned the other day, checked my cam bearings with a set of snap gauges, worked pretty good. Cam bearings could probably be replaced but fuck it, they are still with in spec. So I did a quick hone and cleaned the block surface so the new head gasket has a nice clean surface. Then I pulled the #1 piston out of my ziplock and pulled the rings off. Checked the top ring, measured out at .031" and the second ring was .039" seems a little on the loose side for me. But idk. Might buy new rings, might say fuck it and run it. Gonna check a few more cyl, and then make a decision. On the 327 I opened the ring gap up to .022" and .028" and never had a problem. They were cast pistons and 4.060 bore, the lq4 is a 4" bore and I believe they have hypereutectic pistons. This is gonna be a street motor that I beat on boosted so........ fuck it, on to the pics

Quick and dirty hone. I spent all of maybe 2 min to hone all 8 cylinders.

So I'm gonna pull the rest of the piston rings off and check ring gap on those.
