Best "WELFARE" engine managment system.
« on: April 27, 2009, 02:04:33 PM »

Vehicle - 1991 Toyota Corolla, 4AFE.

Options

1) FMU + cold start injestors and psi switches.
2) SAFC + 626 Turbo injectors
3) 2bar map + 626 Turbo Injectors

This thing is a feild car (was going to be my navex car but I decided to focus on the Accord instead)... it was just decided it needed some more power for spinning "too big" farm tires in the mud.

All the items listed are things I already have, so I would prefer if I could use that shit. I know that NONE of the listed setups is "good" but Im only shooting for "good enough".

Cheap and dirty is the name of the game on this shit box. Max boost its going to see might be 10psi. (Mitsu TE04H turbo).

I assume you're refering to the "grey wire" mod on the SAFC?

You can always go with some work and CROME:

Using the TPS wire on a 2bar MAP sensor.

Idealy you set LO at atmosphere (so key on, car not running) then set HI at the TPS% shown at whatever you decided the max boost to be. Idealy, you have LO set across the board with the -% to compensate for the injectors (in my case it was -50%) then set the HI to whatever you determine the fuel needs to be at the highest boost level (yeah, its crude as fuck). As the TPS% increases with boost (since its hooked to the MAP right) it scales up the injectors accordingly.

I just assumed thats what you were refering to.

I did this for a while on the turbo Tercel ... it worked pretty good.
