rust repair for dirt cheap, 1970 plymouth valiant
« on: March 08, 2009, 04:25:11 PM »

Step :1 buy an old plymouth valiant for $500 with rusted 1/4 panels

Step 2: grind down rust/ bondo and be amazed by the amount of rust

Step 3: Cut out as much rust as you want and hit it with some rust convertor primer

Step 4: Go to lowes and buy a sheet of 20 gauge steel, then convince your metal fabricating brother to help you.  Cut metal with shears, bend it with a 2 x4, dead blow hammer and someone standing on the 2x4. Tack it in place

Step 5: grind down welds and bondo that mofo with little regard for precision

Step 6: paint the whip with krylon

I've been thinking about it, I'd like to get an old ef hatch but a sedan would be just as cool.  First I need to get ride of my old honda cb750.  I own too many bikes and before I get rid of that one I can't justify buying another vehicle.

EF sedans are the new pink, thats why I'm selling mine. Actually I just wanted a decent EG beater, the EF is too "raw" for me as a beater. Damn did it swallow parts though, I had a full b18 swap in it (uninstalled!), along with another b18 block/crank, b18b head disasembled, d16 head, and some other crap.

Sweet valiant, Between my brother and I we have all the spare parts needed to throw together another A body on the cheap. Just been looking around for the right car to install parts on, beat on for awhile and flip when the economy turns.

The import scene is traditionally really dumb and everyone in it thinks they’re hot shit. There have ALWAYS been domestics that could flay any import… the simple fact is when you have a car that runs 9s you dont feel the need to hunt down and impress Honda owners
