CryO2 Air Intake kits consist of an aerodynamically designed bulb with a cryogenic chamber that is mounted inside a 4” long air tube. When charged with liquid CO2, the bulb freezes and chills the air as it passes through the intake - resulting in 35% cooler air and more power. The CryO2 Air Intake can be used on turbocharged, supercharged and normally aspirated applications. Multiple units can also be used for stronger results. The kits come with silicone hose connection sleeves, hose clamps, a connection/vent hose and an intake segment and bulb (that will fit factory or after market air intakes).

Anybody have any real data or links to discussion on this?

My plan is to use water/meth inj. any ways.

Saw this and I remember when all this CRYO2 shit came out and wonder it really work.

 I know the CO2 spray in front of the inter cooler works (fire extinguishers)

For $89 I'd say not for me. Get a basic setup making 500whp on a dyno sheet, then add the oddball stuff.

I'm assuming its an evap coil internally.  There would need to be a compressor, heat exchanger, tubing for the complete system.  Relocate your AC evap into the intake.  Sure it won't be efficient from an energy standpoint but it may help iats.  Be better off running less boost... Cryo2 compressor suck the life out of your battery.  Use of energy aint free.  Entropy is a bitch

Jabberwock, i was under the impression these run off straight bottle pressure released from a solenoid like nitrous.

That would make more sense.  Where would it vent to?  I guess out the hood or something.

Yeah, just like the nitrous.  That little pod shit you probably put a vent line somewhere.  I dont think that was implied to be recirculated.  You'd just have a full system of liquid co2 with no room to change it from liquid to gas to get the cooling effect.

Yes, but damaged the clutch due to clutch hydraulic issues. 

Before the clutch hydraulics issue, I had no problems with clutch. :noel:

I don't think I've seen a spray bar in the last few years, even in magazine show cars. I also don't believe that bulb has enough surface area, even if it was at -90F or something, to cool much of the air down.

$90 is around the price of a puck-style clutch disc. Fix what's broken first.

Upgrade to a real clutch, like one from mike @ lsd or a cc. Not just the disk. Anything over 240ish whp and xtd clutches don't hold shit. Stock pp with a puck clutch = garbage.

I'm not planning using this CRYO2 system, unless somebody has some good reviews.

I'm wondering on the benefits, and are there any real RHMT experiences  of this, not speculation.

The limited surface area would only cool the little bit of air that it touched. Can't see it making any real difference except at maybe very low air flow.

Agreed.   I'm a fan of hosing the ic down with some ice water via washer nozzles or building some kind of tray that can hold dry ice up against the intercooler for a pull/run whatever.  it's so cheap i'd never consider a spray bar or some bullshit like that but i'm not going to knock someone who does because maybe they may find something on the dyno that speculation cant.
