project widow
« on: May 09, 2013, 12:57:39 PM »

so this is the new platform. my girl and i picked this up a few months back and she has decided to allow me to convert it to a 5 speed and boost it smoochie boochie, bitchez smoochie boochie, bitchez.

its a 94 del sol s it has 145k on it and was owned by one lady its whole existence and she took very good care of it. has very minor rust and thats not for long.

the setup:

95ex/si trans ( the bigger bearing one, B000? )
b7 bottom end
b7 head
z6 intake mani
cast mani t3 flange
6262 knock off / also got a gt17
rc 550cc injectors
comp clutch stage 4 kit ( sprung )
innovate lc-1 wideband with gauge
vac/boost gauge
oil pressure gauge
chipped and converted p06 ecu gonna be tuned on crome
2.5" intercooler piping
hks ssqv knock off

things still needed:

4 bar map ( gonna hit up HIPROFILE for that )
arp head studs
a larger intercooler
smaller turbo looking for small-medium sized t3 with decent spool and pull to redline

should start work soon and i plan on doing the 5spd swap and turbo install on a weekend, just need a couple last parts.

Ive always had a thing for del sol's. My uncle bought one in 1994. He bought the vtec model  because it had more horsepower. He had to wait 2 months, because when he bought it the factory hadn't even made one with a dohc vtec yet. Needless to say he was the only one in town with a stock dohc delsol. Was a lot of fun.

nice. the vtec model was a well put together car for stock. i still love my D series tho, its just the awe factor i guess. when ppl see your car run down the track and they think its got a typical swap with a turbo, then you tell them your running a D15 or D16 and they dont believe it till you show them. i love that feeling

my girls gonna end up putting a H or K in this when we come across one for the right price. till then i get to do what i please.

once we start working on the sol ill post some pics of the fiance up.

also JD you should come up to maine and tune my car haha. i'd come down there but i think atmospheric pressures would be too different for a really effective tune up here.

thats all going to depend on the quality of your pics and your willingness to share, or at least go out of the house for a 1/2 hour.

Not to be yet another dick on the pile of dicks burying you, but you say you get a lot of positive attention over the wheels... from men, correct?   Definitely time to strip them amd go cast grey.

update:

sorry i havent posted anything, a couple of months ago i had a tiny shiver of metal go threw my left eye. i lost pretty much all my vision out of it and havent been doing much besides resting and working trying to catch up with bill's. im finally starting to feel better, enough so where im ready to put in some work. im getting like 2-3 turbo's within the next couple of weeks and then i will have a choice of 4 turbo's to choose which i want to use. i need to save up some cash to order a complete exhaust, roll of brake line, map sensor, misc. odds and ends.

my goal: 170-200ish WHP with decent spool time, and able to breath up top still. im hoping to hit 13's on slicks. ( ill choose the best turbo for the job according to my goals, once i have acquired them all. )

You need a y8 intake about as bad as your car needs those ugly ass red wheels. Z6 or GTFO!!!
