a few questions about axles and mounts b18b1 into ed
« on: January 03, 2015, 12:31:36 AM »

I bought myself a 91 DX automatic and an obd1 b18b1 with hydro trans that the sticker that I can't read. This swap I bought was in an eg. My questions are will the axles and int shaft that were used in the eg b swap work with my ed with this hydro transmission or do I have to use? also my friend Has b series mounts for the b18a1 with cable transmission. Can i use b18a1 mounts with the post mounts for the b18b1 with the hydro trans? Is there a difference between the automatic and manual mount that is welded onto the unibody?        I have searched dseries.org here h-t and others.  I looked in the FAQ and I did not see an answer to my questions. BTW who ever ruined the original site is a fucking asshole there was so much useful information that has been lost. Looks like many documented builds have been lost. Thanks.    Also will the eg b series shift linkage ( the stabilizer and torque bars) fit on my ed shifter and trans?

I had my newb  intro post ten years ago. My apologies. I'll up load more from my laptop in the am. The only porn you get is of hotrex's herpes. Can I post links that show in the IMG brackets from any site? Can't attach photos?  And what is with neodouche ruining this site what a fag. I read the 14 page post of the drama. This site made his business.

That was the old site we years ago. About 5 years ago jeff sold the site to Chris harris, (xenocron) after about a year of running the site he no longer wanted it and sold it. Everything went to hell. So the members that actually cared about hmt left and started Real hmt. Jeff stepped back in and took ownership or rhmt for a little while. So the newb post for here is required just like the old site, but more graphic and less rules once newb post has been done. Yes you can use IMG brackets. No you can't upload directly to the site. And the neodouche running g this site is a stand up guy from hmt.

I bought this pile of shit for 900. It was in Florida for most of its life. Previous owner pulled all of the interior out  to put in new carpet that is  pre-molded. I test drove this sitting on a milk crate. This thing gets 20 mpg as it sits and burns a little oil. So 2 days ago I bought the ls swap for 600 to drop in. I bought a pedal cluster for 20. It needs rear shocks and rta bushings. Do the da shocks fit on my springs? I'd like to spend all kinds of loot but I have a child and need to make this thing a little more enjoyable and safe. My ultimate goal is to go turbo of course.

Fucking quality.
will the axles and int shaft that were used in the eg b swap work with my ed with this hydro transmission?
YES

can i use b18a1 mounts with the post mounts for the b18b1 with the hydro trans?
YOU WILL HAVE TO USE B18A1 MOUNT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE (POST AND MOUNT) THE REAR T BRACKET/MOUNT WILL HAVE TO BE FROM A DA INTEGRA AND THE BODY MOUNT WILL HAVE TO BE FROM A MANUAL CAR. AS FAR AS THE TRANSMISSION MOUNT YOU WILL NEED TO BUY THE ADAPTER MOUNT OR MAKE A MOUNT.
Is there a difference between the automatic and manual mount that is welded onto the unibody? YES

Also will the eg b series shift linkage ( the stabilizer and torque bars) fit on my ed shifter and trans?
YOU WILL NEED TO CUT DOWN THE LENGTH BUT IT WILL FIT ON YOUR TRANSMISSION AND SHIFTER

Also here is this

Where is the automatic specific mount? I bought the  inovative kit with the actuator and mounts for hydro bseries from swapshop racing. The guy there told me I just use the kit plus post mount and rear t bracket from the DA.

iirc the body mount on the transmission side/pass side is different from auto to manual.  But I could be wrong. Maybe it's just the transmission side that is different.

I also read somewhere that this may have been the case but swapshop racing told me they have done this swap with stated brackets. My parts pile is getting bigger. I ordered a obd0 to obd1 jumper harness and a 4 wire o2 sensor today.

If I had access to a Bridgeport or a Taiwanese knock off I would make my own mounts. Let's see dustins home made mounts.

Get used cable hasport mounts if you can.  Worst case innovate.  The ebay ones are total shit.  Engine placement and axle angle is garbage.

LS cable tranny 91-92. no 90-91 ls trans.

DA axles. DA clutch cable or modifiy B series cable mount.
