I just wish there were options to build honda trans to really take some abuse. 2 500hp motors would be insane!

If that one was sped up, then they ALL were and there's a shitload of those vids on youtube. I think what you're seeing are the smaller waves created from the mist, smaller waves will appear to travel faster.

Some areas up here have what look like mini hydroplanes roughly that size, except you won't see crazy 750cc 2-strokes on them. Usually an outboard with as big a motor they can float.

Those things look fun but way too small. I'm thinking of I did the homemade boat project to go with something like this guy:

Maybe a bit bigger with a deck, I'd probably try to keep the catamaran style hull and build a hybrid offshore cat/runabout style. I'd like a deck/chill out area big enough for six people so maybe I'll change my mind and do a deep V. Just a thought for now and like I said, nothing is set in stone for a few years to come.
