I been looking around, a moped would make a sick beater, does not have to insured/inspected, all I have to do is show proof of purchase to the DMV, somehow prove it can only go <30mph and bam, I'm free to turbo the fucker and rip around at 60mph. I don't know dick about these things, I gave up trying to get a cheapo pocketbike (everyone around here has em, cops started arresting people on the street with them so fuck that) and now I'm considering buying a fagged out moped and making it into a summer commuter. Any thoughts/ideas?

Um, all of the honda/yamaha etc ones I see are selling for around a grand or more even used. I want broke back mountain cheap. There is a china one being sold locally but the fucker doesnt have any papers so I wouldnt be able to register it =(

Honda ruckus is the only thing I have seen that boarders on ungay. There is a guy that works at the machine shop across the complex from where I work, that rides one every once in awhile. It is stretched (he is 6'6") flat black and has a big bore kit, goes pretty good for what it is.

this thing rocks rocked.  took it off some sweet jumps till the spark plug smashed on the gas tank and it caught fire for a little bit.
