92 turbo sentra
« on: March 15, 2009, 10:42:26 AM »

I posted this on the old site before realizing there was a continution here of all things that made hmt cool, so sorry about that. But here is my homegron sentra

This is my sentra. Its a stait forward build that I have done a few times useing a 57 trim, t3/4 turbo, weather chicom or garret, 60# injectors, jdm sr20de motor, tunerpro rt, head gaskst, acl bearings, log manifold, 3" exhaust, ect. They run really well and are super budget, I had about 1800 into this car including the car. This one made 343hp at the tire and in general turned out great. I posted my samurai earlier and thought you may like this too. I have done 6 or 7 of them and they keep getting better and cheaper all the time.
The first pic is of the car driving through canuk land on the way to AK, it was a 1100 mile drive that I started literlly 1 day after getting the car running and tuned, other than a small oil leak at the turbo oil line, no problems at all. And man, shit hauls as at 17 PSI in -35 degree weather

Calum ecu, moates burner, turnerprort, I use an n60 maf or a q45 maf, walbro 255 and whatever injectors I got lying around that are big enough. I havge run the ford lightning injectors up to 400hp but it required alot of fuel pressure. But it worked and I never had any long term issues

I got the maj0ority of the shit you'll need if you want it.
I got......
sr20de exhaust flange 7/16" thick 304ss work great
top feed fuel rail
n60 maf and pigtail
I also have the chip stuff
I got the in on a good clutch.
you'll need weld ells
turbo
turbo flanges
ser pcm 49 state prefered
I will get yoiu the height and width of the ic I've used
injectors and clips and a fpr.
bov that can be recirc'd
thats about the only ser specific shit I can think of. Everything else is standard stuff

You really aught to turbo it. They are awsome
If you just wanted the t25 turbo stuff from a blue bird, I got a manifold and turbo, 370cc injectors in a rail, I think I got a factory ecu, I'd let it go for a decent price. You would still need exhaust and IC

Classic SE-R handle sweet, and do a great job laying power to the ground for a FWD chassis, despite a large amount of bodyroll and transfer.  They are a really nicelt designed chassis.

The trans will drop gears at the 250+ whp level, they are weak, but you can pick up a B15 non-LSD trans for beans and fit the SE-R LSD to it, requires some super minor fab to fit but is practically a bolt in affair.

I think anyone using a Q45 MAF is asking for trouble.  I've been through five of them on three cars, most don't work right because they are fucked up, the others don't work right due to lack of low end resolution (design), and fiddling TP values only does so much.  Switching to a Z32 MAF makes a world of difference.

Based on some research I did a few years ago, stock internals can handle about 400hp. One transmission problem some people had is sometimes it would pop out of 5th gear.

5th and 3rd do that stock in a lot of cases.

Also I have a gtir mani with a t3 flange and 38mm dump tube on it. Pm me if interested.
