I am really confused at this point.. I just finished installing my 780cc injectors and the car was running like shit. So I look at datalogs, idle is at 19.9 AFR, this is a tune JD did for someone else on a similar setup, so I decided to make my own basemap in crome gold.. still no good. then I notice the TPS says 0% when i rev it up in the logs.. check the voltage and I get 0 volts at any position.

So, I've checked the actual wire all the way to the ecu, and it's good. I tested it by grounding a 9volt battery on one end meeting the sensor and checked it at D11 on the ecu side.. it's all good.

Not sure what to do at this point.. I tried another ECU and TPS .. what now???

Which tps wire did you check?  The B+ source or the signal wire back to the ecu?  Do you have a good ground at the tps plug?

so far I have checked voltage between the grn/blck and yel/blu.. was only .25 volts


i get nothing from the blck/red wire from either end.

TPS plug disconnected, multimeter set to ohms, check continuity between red/blk wire tps plug pin 2, and ecu plug D pin 1. 

Check continuity between pin 3 TPS plug, yel/blu and Plug D pin 10 ecu side.

Multimeter back to Volts, with key on/engine off you should have power (.5v ish) at pin 1 of the tps plug, grn/blk.

Ignore D11, its SG2 for the ecu, but not where you need to be.

OHMs from red/blk -> D1 = 4.52
OHMs from yel/blu -> D10 = counted down to .86 then up to .94 and I ended it there
Volts from grn/blk = 0v  with key on

i'm not exactly sure to be honest.. I THINK one of the pins at the obd2->obd1 jumper harness for the TPS wasn't making a connection. who knows.  after messing with the pins Robb referred (D10, D1, etc.) it worked. 3 solid hours of my life, gone forever

it's all good, I will probably swap the whole engine harness eventually.. I see them at the junk yard all the time.

Did you hot-glue your obd2>1 jumper harness?  I always hot-glue the back side of the connectors to prevent that exact problem.
