goddamn malware infected safe mode

i got malware from somewhere. got fed up and restored to factory settings... the bitch is still here. it won't let me install/run any antivirus/antimalware, won't let me visit certain websites, it's a fucking pain.

how the fuck do i reformat? i don't have the windows disk that came with the computer. am i SOL?

Iono, I got a hardcore one yesterday that none of those caught, although I didn't try hijackthis. Spyware Doctor found the scourge, but it's not free. The demo find the shit, but won't fix them. If nothing else, it's something you can use for the next idea below...

Otherwise there's that linux distro that runs only from memory. If you know where they are, you can manually delete all the right files. The only issue is finding software that works with it that can kill your infection if you want it done for you.

Not to be a dick, but where do you pick this shit up at?

I have to clean my dad's laptop of malware for the 3rd time in the past year...I know where he gets it.

Somehow I've managed to download terabytes upon terabytes of software/music/video (all legal) over the past few years and have never picked any up...

Honestly I've just never understood where this stuff is found...

it's a imageboard for the chans, and i found out that the site owners themselves are doing on purpose, strictly for the lulz. you get it strictly by visiting the page, you don't have to download anything. it's quite vexing, really.

Run a Linux live cd and just kill it off. What most likely happend is you have been rooted in which case a good wipe of the Hd should be done. Something like kill disc or boot and nuke could do. If you happen to have a windows cd but no product key pm me ;)
