Sometimes smell coolant when decellerating
« on: June 30, 2009, 05:00:18 PM »

So my car is running great, no oil leaks, pulls great. My concern is, I smell coolant when decelling/coasting/coming off the gas sometimes. It is the one and only time I smell it. Whats going on? Engine is pretty fresh, has maybe 6-8k on it. There doesnt seem to be any oil in my coolant or vice versa.

Is it head lift? bad hose somewhere?

Engine is a B18B, forged bottom, stock head except springs. t3/t04e turbo. CX Racing radiator.

I havent had to fill the damn thing since I dropped in the engine. No signs of losing any coolant really so im at a loss. Im starting to think I might have a pinhole leak on one of my hoses or radiator. Maybe its burning up as it hits the turbo manifold.

Also, I should add I am running ARP head studs.
