Its more a fit issue than anything. I matched the angle of the X in the frame, you will see why this was necessary when I post pics of the chassis. I'm not a fan of any style of X pipe. But this guy gets what he wants because he pays the bills.

They are expensive, it takes a lot of time to draw up a custom flange, make a one off fixture for machining and than do all the 3d surfacing for the ports in SS like we did. Add in TRUE equal length primaries, limited space, and you have $$$

I wish I could own just about any of the cars I work on, right now I can't even afford to have a beater project car of any sort.

Magnaflows are pretty much the best muffler we have came across so why do you have an issue with them? Straight through design, proven power over a chambered piece and its stainless. Whats not to love?

Plus they are welded construction and made in USA. I wish they had tig welded versions but oh well, I might get to that someday. They do sound good and lifetime warranty is nice to boot. I use magnaflows on pretty much everything, even on this bmw M6:
