He seems to have his morals in the correct place, but I hope he doesn't get fucked out of royalties.

Reminds me of this http://www.regtech.com/

Not quite the same but great number. Saw this in a Hot Rod mag back in '98ish but not seen it anything major yet.

I hope the MYT engine goes farthur and faster. ;D

Definitely sounds like it, fuel only has a certain amount of energy.

But whatever, I like to be proved wrong.

Open view slow turn of pistons

looking at how it works its very very simple, i could see a lot of friction being lost compared to the reg piston engine no cam, pistins, t-belt ect ect ect. one worry would be how much heat that thing would produce and how to lubricate it well enough to keep it from melting some of the internals. also the sealing would be dificult, like the rotary found out with the apex seals

great idea but making it work and work well I would have to see it running on a fuel and a log/holset combo off the side of it to give money to Gandolf(the inventor)

The article said it's mostly intended for diesel since it's a self-lubricating fuel, but can run on others as well.

It seems like a pretty simple design that would work rather well.

I wonder how much expansion would fuck with it when there's heat.

How would you transfer that to a transmition and drivetrrane, wouldnt the crankshaft break transfering that much powa to the wieght of an suv?

Wat?  It'd be the same as with any vehicle...

rotard 2.0

Let's see if they last longer than 30K miles without forming a nasty oil burning habit.

I saw something about this about 3 years ago... if it's not a scam it should have been turned into a working prototype by now.

I think the concept is cool, but I'm not convinced it's actually worth a damn.

No this shit is the real deal.  It's the Coates rotory valve engine that's the scam.
