thats why if you live in town you take it else where and kill it. if they cant find the dog or evidence of dog getting killed you can do whatever you want. : )

That's completely and utterly rediculous. Is it me, or is the world actually getting stupider by the minute?

18 year old dog is 14 billion years old in people years. The guy obviously cared enough to bring the poor thing to the vet, probably couldn't afford the $2000 needed to keep the thing alive and suffering for 2 more days and decided to take care of it on his own. If the owner did put him down it was 99.9% likely done out of compassion for the animal.

Instead of dying, surrounded by strangers poking you with needles I think man's best friend would much rather have his owner send him/her on to doggie heaven.

My wifes Miniature Shnauzer got pregnant when i left it at my moms house for a few weeks.

It gave birth to the most butt ugliest dog on the planet. I told my wife we had to get rid of it and put it for free on craigslist. People kept flaking out and it got older and no one wanted it, so I hated that asshole mutt everyday, it ate like a pig, it shit all over the place. And then it got sick. It wouldnt eat and kept puking. I called a vet, and they said it most likely had parvo virus , and it would probably be like 150 or more to treat it. FUck that!!! I dont have 150 bucks to blow on a P.O.S dog.

I gave it pepto and it didnt work. I tried feeding it chickenbroth and liquified rice so it wouldnt die, and that didnt work either

I couldnt just drop it off at the pound, it was all skinny and boney and shit from not wanting to eat. and those fuckers ask questions.

So I packed the fucker up in a box (labeled "sick dog"), Drove to the animal shelter near my workplace. and dropped that fucker off at the shelters gate at 11pm before my shift started.

it must be a kalifornia thing for the treatment to be $150...

its like $30 here for all the antibiotics you need, unless you let it get so far like you did where they need an i.v. to keep living.

I didnt have the $$ to pay for the treatment.

It was either buy groceries for the next two weeks. or pay for the dog?

I noticed he progrssivly started eating less. then it got to the point where he didnt touch his food at all. then when he got diarhea for 3 days straight thats when i called.

I kept his ass alive by force feeding him a mixture of liquified rice and chicken broth. and to make sure it didnt die of dehydration i gave gave him Pedialyte with a turkey baster.

I did what I could to keep him eating and hydrated then i found out there was a No-Kill shelter near my work, but it was only for residents of the area. So i got a large rubbermaid box, cut out some holes, threw a comforter in there, and taped the top off so it couldnt get out and left it at the front entrance of the shelter so they would find it.

I checked with the shelters website 3 weeks later and he was up for adoption. He lived. that fucker.

About 10% live intreated...about 10% die treated as long as you don't let it wander around a week before taking it to a vet.

I guess you didn't have much of a choice, though
