Just get them from canada.

Epa doesnt what this stuff in the united states

They Im sure already know damn well about importers in Canada. This is a huge federal office. The goal is simple get older cars off the roads just like cash for clunkers was

Its bullshit because most of the motors being imported get better mpg then 90% of newer cars

It is pretty sad the one container recycled for scrap is of a company that really does tons of replacment engines.

What can be done to stop this kind of bullshit?  I don't see how a japanese engine could possibly destroy the environment. 99% of the time theyre plugged into a usdm wiring harness and ran off of a usdm ECU.  very few are acutally bought by ricers and the ones that are don't last very long.

Im assuming from my gut from what little info I have gotten so far, this did just happen, is that if the motors are broken down it becomes a grey area.

Its really hard to say Im not a lawyer and neither are guys running engine companies. Hopefully there is some grey area for this but right now every one in california I know has stopped and will not import anymore. these are the companies that supply the more well known internet companies

One company has been around since the mid 90's so that should tell you they are not a bullshit fly by operation.

they need to do something like the company I work for does. we sell playing cards to chinese casino's. Half of them are illegal so we lol package the cards in boxes marked toys.
Importers should ship engines in boxes marked rice and samuri swords.

I would imagine the idea is to get old cars off the road.  Cheap replacement engines=cars stay on the road longer.  Take away the source for cheap motors, and they figure more cars will get junked and people will buy a new car.

Hype-R's aren't special.  Well, the motors aren't, the chassis are pretty cool.

http://vehicleimport.blogspot.com/2009/09/r34-seized-in-california-kaizo-drama.html

Worth reading!!!!!!
So basically they are allowing certain cars to be legally imported, then seizing them for being "illegal". This makes no sense to me... Their logic is to seize the cars that are destroying the environment, what about the show cars and others that rarely if ever get on the streets? or how about the cars that are driven in other countries? do we have some special American environment that is immune from the pollution from same cars in other countries?

what im saying is fuck this fucked up government and its goddamned policies.

from what i can see, it would be best for the future of the country if california would implode on itself and be erased from history. whats that state even good for anyways?

Im taking a road trip looking at some places that seem a little more willing to let people have rights. Im not sure I can take this place much longer. They have been talking for years to get all pre 0bd2 cars off the roads this is a major movement in that direction.

I agree California is a fucked up place. Get rid of Florida also and majority of the bullshit is gone.

The best part is the state of california has been allowing jdm engines ot be smogged since the 90's. You went to a state refree and if you had a usdm manifold, ecu and everything was cool the swap was legal and you got a cool little sticker

That car is now considered a hazard to the environment even though the state already approved the engine and it passes smog. It is now illegal and the car will be impounded. I just found this info today.

So basically you went to the trouble to make everything legal and it passes california smog but is now an illegal vehicle to operate. ???

I may be spending my christmas packing up and getting the fuck out of this social science project before its too late.

That's not the best part. The best part is when you leave for a real state they don't even know what a smog check means. Pay your lower than Ca. registration every year and fucken drive.  :noel:

Yeah...to get a tag...I take them the title and pay a small fee.  For new registration, I pay a small fee.

Smog ??? ??? ???

My car could be on fire in the parking lot spewing toxic fumes.

Let me get this straight

Did california round up all the illegal's and have a mass deportation? That has caused ICE to be so slow that it has to resort to seizing shipments of parts, and cars?

California cant even balance a budget, yet were spending millions funding the EPA. The air quality hasnt improved i see it getting worse all the time.

So now we cant recieve shipments of fine quality usefull parts from Japan, but our government allows shipments of substandard, lead laced toys, knockoffs and garbage from china all the time.

What the hell is wrong with this country.

Plate tectonics is the answer.

Don’t worry Chris Malektesky I have a plan that will solve this problem for us.
You need to round up all the jdm f20b’s and h22’s. Remove all of the balance shafts  then get large metal pipes 6” In diameter and drive them into the ground and weld and an engine stand plate to each pipe mount the before mentioned engines to each steal pipe.

placement is key the best place is Let’s just say a very strategic line along the coast. After all the pipes are ran what until high tide “we need all the help we can get so the moon will give us a gravitational tug and help split the fault” yeah run all the engines at about 6k and wait for the inevitable. Harmonic resonance is your friend you might want to start driving east. As soon as it’s all going

I’ve just ran a few simulations and there is a significant danger. It appears all these unbalanced h22’s could potentially cause the pacific plate to sub duct so fast that is pulls the north American plate into the earths mantle dooming us all. But that only happens in 4 simulations out of 1700.
It appears that running the engines at 66% throttle is the most likely to cause this affect

So what are the next two biggest ports on the west coast that could be used for importing engines?
Portland, Oregon and Seattle,Washington?
