Topic: Drove through deeeep water! NSFW and Broken NOSE! (Read 9743 times)

I just drove through some super deep water with my integra. I was coming home and I knew of 2 spots that always get flooded so I avoided them, but the rain was so bad NEW spots I had no idea about were pretty fucking bad. One of the spots was on a miny highway and I was with 2 of my buddy's we were going about 35-40 and SMASH right into like we were diving. I was scared shitless cuz it came out of no where, luckily my car made it through with a little right at the end. Checked the brakes as i drove and listen to the motor sounded fine. Then as im driving again, I look ahead....

easily about 1-2 feet deep water and there is no way I could go around this unless I took a 30-40 minute detour risking maybe the same situation or worse. Also it was about 30-40 yards long with a cop just waiting at the end knowing someone was going to get fucked. So I put it in first gear creep up on it and work my way through about 75% through my car starts just going slower and slower and I hit the gas harder and I MADE IT! There was 1 more huge puddle right before i got home but it wasnt nearly as bad.

My questions, car runs fine etc but i lightly popped the hood to see what was wet and it looked like a little tiny but of water got on top of my motor as if it had been sprinkled on like a splash from a distance so not to worried and my wires were a litttttle wet. So cleary the water was deep, also i dont have the transmission plate on that covers the clutch and flywheel. What should I mostly be concerned about?

Wheel bearings?
Tranny?

Also water in the intake? I dont have any intake or filter its straight manifold for now, but doesnt seem like anything got in there im just fucking worried hopefully the car starts when its cold tomorrow shits not good!

That being said in my old crx we had some bad flooding and a came over an overpass saw a new dodge pick up stuck in the water and cops at the other side telling people to turn around. Well i floored it and hit the water top of first gear group of people screaming stop... haha Water rushing over the hood and coming in the doors a bit haha. made it right through bouncing off the limiter the whole time. i stopped to let the lights and shit drain of water and the people were still shocked i made it....
