No no, you inferred too much from my post. It's in no way cool, and in fact is downright shitty. But for that amount, I can tell you from experience, that the local police in wherever the fuck in OR he is will not do anything but make a report.

on a seperate, but related topic, How about someone make a sticky in the for sale with buyer/seller reviews. I know that most everyone here knows everyone, but for shit like this, it would help keep truly negative bullshit off the site.
