I liked family guy better when it was orginial and like 15+ years ago when it was called The Simpsons.

Anyone ever notice how the same shit has been redone like a million times?  Its like after teh 60's everybody said fuck it lets just sue what we got.  Tootsie?? hell no one knows that movie, fuck dustin hoffman replace him with robin williams and no one will ever notice......

the fact that you think the simpsons is remotely good makes me think

A - youre only 9 years old
or
B - youre a faggot

the simpsons was never funny. family guy is hilarious. one of the only shows that makes me laugh out loud. especially the unedited versions. i dont even know where you get off comparing the simpsons to family guy, the only similarity they have is that they are both cartoons.

If you dont think the simpsons were ever funny then you might be a minority there so Obviously if we are argueing which is better than whatever, go wack off to your mustang.  southpark is for those who laugh histericly at the idea of a fart, never have i ever thoguht SouthPark was awesome.  Always thought it was sorta stupid how they always made fun of family guy for "doing pop culture references" and thats the entire premise of their show.  Southpark just isnt funny.

The simpson refernce for those who cant sell manifolds or read is ment to say "The simpsons came up with the idea of a cartoon poking fun at pop culture with a crass sarcastic satire"  Family guy did the same exact premise just added a tad more vulgarness.  Im not sayin it isnt funny im just saying the whole "Oh looks its a shocking cartoon commenting on recent events in our society" was done and done well like 15 years ago.

but your right they have nothing in common.  HAHAHA HE SAID FART HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA  THIS IS THE BEST SHOW EVAR WOW HOW COME NO ONE THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

when did i mention south park?

the simpsons is for kids in the single digits, it might have been funny to me when i was 9 years old and thought the phrase eat my shorts was cool. it was never "shocking" as you put it. family guy and southpark is for the older crowd. a kid in middle school wouldnt undertand why half the shit in family guy is funny. the irrelevant shit is what makes it funny.

simpsons = G rated

southpark/familyguy = PG13

your mother wouldnt be happy about you being such a twat, henry. its offensive.

They basically copied the format of the show, and put their own twist on it. Unoriginal. Although funny, still kinda stale.

exactly my pooint.  Like i said im not saying one is funnier than the other, just that the basic idea was already done.  He just added more fart jokes and the occasional curse word.

My mother told me i should appologize for the Manifold comment, Corey im sorry i didnt mean to offend. I dont want to be a twat.

I'm not sure I completely agree.  Family Guy is a bunch of random clips joined together at random.  If you watch them as clips and not in a 30 minute show, some of them are funny.  However, if you were to actually sit through 30 minutes of the show, you have to be simple or high.

Simpsons has gotten a lot smarter recently.  I don't watch it all the time, but if it's on, I might watch.  I was surprised with a few episodes having some more clever word play and references that I don't recall them doing in the past.

South Park and King of The Hill are the only two cartoons I will watch the new episodes that day or the next day online.  I think South Park has moments of brilliance and then we have to suffer through duds.  King of the Hill was awesome always.  Anyone that doesn't like King of the Hill, doesn't like America.

Sure there are a couple clips that are funny, but as a whole, and as a 30 minute program, it sucks.

South Park does have some brilliant moments. I like the one where cartman feeds that kids parents to him in chili or the hippy extermintaiton one, the metro sexual crab people episode... They are a lot more creative than family guy.
