I just put a reman engine in a 98 boxster.  The engine cost $14k with core, and the car is probably worth $16k.  Fucking insane. 

Im shocked a 98 boxster made it this far without a motor.

16 Grand?

9 grand all day long on ebay.

I didnt say it was the first motor.  ;)

Yeah, retail from Porsche is $14k depending on which engine, it was extended warranty, no ebay here.

the parts guy at the dealership i used to work at was nick named 300% becuase he always charged 300% for anything under $100. but yeah little bolts and washers and shit should be gotten at the junk yard. i bought a crx that was missing that little screw for throttle adjustment dealer quoted me really high so i stole one from a acura legend

Pull a part for the muther fuckan win! Fuel injectors there are $1.50 each. Tube socks from walmart $4.00 for 6 pairs. Thats alot o fuel injectors

I've got an ACE hardware about 6 miles down the road and a mom&pop about 4 miles the other way.


Ace hardware sucks becuase they charge you by the bolt.  Try and find a place like tractor supply that charges by the pound.
