Well I told u all I blew the bitch up :'( with a shit tone of boost and a lot of tire smoke (and no oil because of a clogged oil pickup)
Well I had the TT rods resized
New block and re filled
bored out 30 over
decked perfectly flat
micropolished crank
notched block
all new race bearing speced out for each pleace in the engine, nothing standard all precision
And friday the new custome made 9.0:1 flat top JE pistons just showed up.
The bottem end will be together this week, now I have to decide whaqt Im going to do with the head. I think it will just be a stock rebuild with new valves and springs.

ok well some up date picks here
after doing all this stuff to the bottem and I took the head into school to clean it up. After that I was looking at it a figured if I have pulled it apart to clean it I might as well do the valve seals, but If I do the valve seals I might aswell do a full valve job? So now am waiting for a head gasket kit. Acura wanted 7.86 or that a peice(X 16), fuck that. Kit off ebay comes with full head gasket set(including valve seals)for 50 shiped.

on top of that I was able to weld the steel to the cast housing some exspensive rods. pre-heated areas, welded, place fire blanket over after to keep the heat in. work perfect and bolted back to the turbo.

had to cut out a shit load of block and even shave the turbo to make the Mack truck turbo fit and still keep the full size rad but we did it! hopefully will have it in the car next weekend and on the street in 2 or 3 weeks

Well we went to install the engine today and had nothing but problems.
Joe started and ended the day doing the body work, hed did a realy good job so far.
me, WOT, Rishis, josh went towork on the engine. got the cluctch setup in, its so tight its bending the bracket its atached to. tranny on and we got the coilovers in, engine n but not finished. it was a pretty good day all and all.

at around 6pm I figured all the guy had worked there ass's off all day and where happy to do it so it was time for a brake. we hit up thease hardcore twisty roads, a good 40min drive through 40km turns at 120 in the 2 crx's and the sir hatchback. after a nice cruz through there WOT got into it with a built Type R(N/A built) and just wooped his ass. the guy was thinking WOT had a "K20 swap" but must off been put to shame finding out that it was just a b16a1.

update july 7
well this is the problem

I never told anyone but I striped on of the head bolts in my build :'(
I said fuck it Iv gone this far this bitch is gonna run, and she did just fine, untill I hit 11.5psi and the head gasket let go right where that bolt goes. so I pulled the head off and put in a helicoil and shes ready to go back together.
I seen one on ebay for 90+20 shipping to canada but dont know if it will be here in time or if I should just do a copper spray again? guess I have no choice but to do the copper spray again

JULY 17 2007

Well she was running and I did get a video of her running but its not the greatest
(Will be here soon/today)
I already changed the head gasket and put in 10 1/2" grade 11 capscrews to hold the head down and also uped the head TQ to 60ft/lbs from 47

all I have to do now is new plugs and re set the timming, and put the doors on and paint the bitch

TT rods with a mad hook up from creig
JE forged pistons
held together with B series larger wrist pins

Well this weekend killer D spent yet another day fine tuning my baby. I guess after we got his turbo kit up and running he felt like giving back.

The Engine will be finished by this friday now(not the one in the pic)
The tranny is at the tranny shop for a full rebuild(all oem parts), and the new High speed/good gas milage on highway 5th gear.

fender is pretty mutch finished, the drv door is almost finished aswell

drv side Q panel is finished

antenna and roof lines shaved

rears all cleaned up, spoiler mounts still there(I love my rice)

and the money shot

Sunday has come and gone
We left hamilton @ 6:30 to head up north to the car, We worked our ass's off a;; day
Joe and Joe have finished off the body work acept for a full car 320grit sand be for primer next weekend.
Rishi and I got the tranny/Engine setup built and installed and started to install the turbo setup aswell.

Where you putting the 4-bolt flange wg?

I saw large wg like 40mm or 50mm four bolt but I did not see where you were going to use it.

The SS turbo man. only has flange for 35 or 38mm wg.

d16a1 mount is for the 86-89 teg totally different than the jdm dohc zc which uses the 88-91 civic/crx bolt pattern



Basically the d16a1 sits like ass in a 88-91 chassis

We already been through all the ricer  + ching chong shit, this is an old thread.

I can get a pic of the mount next weeekend if I cant find one on my computer.  You have to take the d16a1 mount + a d16a6 mount, cut and weld together.  It bolts on the front of the engine and then raps around the side then straight over to the mounting area.

Update to this thread is this
Cars body work is finished and she is primered
New Large pwr front mount intercooler.
Was ripping the shit out of her at 20psi for a while
Was doing 273kph and overheated the tranny, as I slowed down it seized.
I have to change the tranny and retune for the new turbo.  I have a smaller turbo now because I blew the oil seal in the mack turbo from blowing so many engines on it.

first fire up, spedo disconected so stuck at 4000 lounch controle

once you blow a motor and still drive it, your oil pressure might not be suffiecient enough for the turbo and will starve it. He said he blew multiple motors = multiple fails.

any time you smoke an engine there is a vwery good chance you got metel fileings in the oil befor it went.  Metel fileing on a bearing spinning @ 100,000 rpm = weak souce.

Couldnt find an exact replacement and my buddy gave me a upgraded T3 for free(kimilk69)
turbo good till 450 I think.
