looks like its actually a strain gauge used for full throttle no lift/clutchless shifts wif a dog box.. measures the tension still on the engagement of the gears... as strain decreases... the light "progresses" at a set point  (*usually uses ignition cut) yank/shove into next gear... repeat.

the run starts at 0:58 and he goes through the traps at 1:07. it was an 8.99 pass.

a 4 year old could do the math there and figure out there was no speeding up of the video.

It seems like it definately bogs i guess you could say going into second. You can hear it kinda fall on its face and respool.

whats crazier is miller is making mid/high 170mph passes and not pulling the shute. the car only has front brakes also.

taking a look at other vids. the car does a little side step of 2-4 feet when he lets off the gas. That would be a drive.

I wonder how T1 feels being #2 not being able to be anywhere near miller?

Tony was the first in the 8's so who cares really haha.Tony set the bar. One thing i like about tony he is constantly doing it with different setups. Changing things up a bit and actually testing and proving products for us. . Miller hasnt changed a thing except an intake cam.

I'm pretty sure Tony does.  If Miller is the first in the 7's would everyone say "Who cares, Tony was the first in the 8's?" Nobody cares about milestones when there is a guy facefucking the entire field by what 7mph and .3?  There was a first in the 12's, 11's,10's, 9's, 8's  milestones will be broken as rules and technology changes.


The only real history making eventI feel  in drag racing was when Bergenholtz was first in the 9's.  Being the first in the single digits in a FWD car is an accomplishment because nobody has done that before in a FWD platform. Being the first in the 8's with size xx tires and xx turbos to comply with rules in a  dying/dead/non-existant class in a dying form of racing isn't that big of a deal (still badass but not crazy badass)
